  1. This had to be sponsored video because there is no way this widely overpriced piece of garbage tech stood out enough to make it to a video on the main channel and not one of the others. I would have at least given you props for putting a Jackery sponser in this video and been like, SOOOOOO a much better option would be to lug your 27" gameing monitor, your Jackery power station and a JBL pill speaker and blow away the performance of the thing for half the cost! This was a real miss spending a full 15 min covering this useless tech item that is going to be defunct in 6 months.
  2. @Plouffe Loved the video. I know you guys have said time and time again that you want to avoid being the trusted tech review site for "everything other than computer tech" but its videos like this that I find real value in. With a billion cheep china options on the various marketplaces it seems like such a crapshoot on finding a good product for these kinda things. The days of "read the reviews" is just way more difficult than it was just a short 2-5 years ago. Budget for this kind of video has to be cheep in terms of both cost and return. Do more of them!
  3. Great video. Do more of these. More colabs featuring cool tech. And I'm going to now go buy a really expensive KVM from lvl1.
  4. Working in the engineering field I have worked at an office that took pride in its ISO 9001 quality procedures. I have personally been responsible for crafting SOP's to be filed as 9001 docs. (I wasn't thrilled with having to do it, because it meant that I could be held accountable to having to follow all the steps I put on that page, but it did also meant that we had proper documentation for new hires to follow and could hold everyone to the same standard) I look forward to hearing how you have adopted either ISO9001 or a similar rigorous standard for new SOP's in order to stamp out the careless mistakes that has resulted in having to make this video. and @LinusTech for the love of god man, please learn to use a PR dept! I love getting a behind the scenes hot takes on WAN show but..... when its written responses to the community, you got to learn to transition to "the public relations statement"!
  5. @LinusTech My hope is that someone sees this in the ocean of comments sooooo.... Concerning the copper block, your comment concerning "its to expensive and not worth the cost" is perhaps the thing I have the least forgiveness on. For a guy making alpaca filled CPU pillows, a product you admit is stupid expensive and should not be bought.... If a reviewer were to take one use it in the wrong application and then claim its a shit product, I think you'd be rightly mad that your own admittedly uber high quality overpriced product was used incorrectly and the reviewer said dont buy it because it sucks! For a guy who has said time and time again, price is not a metric we focus on because whats expensive to one person is pocket change to others, or the price of the product is constantly fluctuating and we don't want to give the wrong impression about the price as it would only be a snap shot in time... I have previously posted that I really like your off-the-rails, "what kind of shop shenanigans can Linus and Alex get into this week with some stupid water cooling build". They are first and foremost simply entertaining content with hardly any real world value in terms of how the audience (me) would get value out of doing the same thing. Contrast that with the review of a niche product that is under development and well, i guess the results speak for themselves. The team can make editing mistakes, or testing mistakes... they can be rushed and have insufficient time to do the best job. I have come to understand this is mostly how the world runs today. Is there an opportunity to do better, absolutely. I have faith that LMG and its leadership will have a focus on continuing improving in all these things. I look forward to hearing about the new process that departments have put into place to better avoid the types of mistakes that Steve at GN has pointed out.
  6. To be frank, I'm not used to having LTT whore out such a shittasic product. If i could have thumbs down'd this video I would have. I expect better for the limited time LMG has and the mountain of shit products that are likely pushed in front of you guys for sponsoring.
  7. Slow clap for this one guys! well done. would have been great as an April 1 vid but still top tier entertainment value. I look forward to more creator knockoff vids. Linus, how you feel about a GN wig and some blue set dressing or wearing some drywall stilts and fart jokes for some J2C....
  8. no streamdeck and dont expect to get one. But would love to replace my messenger bag. The current LTT laptop bag is to much bag for me. So put me down for a messenger style small laptop holding size bag.
  9. Ya'll forgetting why they built https://www.floatplane.com huh? Go sign up!
  10. I take it that even though AMD announced the hardware they havn't sent review units out to press yet? @AlexTheGreatishAny word on when you guys expect to get hands on hardware?
  11. To be honest I kinda love Linus goofy take on the Intell upgrade series were you roast living spaces and help build stuff. Perhaps its a tired format by now but I'll admit I was sad when Linus wasn't there to host this one. And really what this felt like was.... Tynan spent $5k on really normal ass stuff so like there's not much video there. And Alex and Tynan have been dicking around in the shop after hours and it would make really good floatplane bonus content so.... just smush some of it together and call it a video for the main channel. Don't get me wrong I love the Alex off-the-rails shop builds, there is more entertainment in them than there is any kind of educational how-to intended to them, whichs makes me somewhat sad... (given the roots of the LTT channel) but Linus has made it clear on wan show, with LMG the size it is today he is going to be forced to bend to the trend-wind some concerning content that gets views on Youtube. TLDR: More of Alex and Tynan off-the-rails shop antics during slow news weeks.
  12. No one said create garbage designs. Its clear that the batteries that Samsung is designing and making (with their name on them) have some sort of internal design flaw. So yes, replacing it with a battery that doesn't have this issue (like apple phones, or any of the others unaffected) is a totally reasonable and acceptable solution to this issue. Now how much do i trust Samsung to give me a replacement that isn't their design.... no so much...
  13. Can confirm, I heard about the video and dug my old S7 out of the drawer. swollen battery. I have several other S7 around the house as well as a couple of older samsung tablets. The one with the worst battery I use the most still (once a month or so)
  14. Yep, 100% miss read the front page of the croundfund site.
  15. Least I wasn't the only one that got to the end and was like... what was the price for this thing? And then when I clicked the link to go check it out, its a kick starter product!?!?! and OVER a whopping $3200! HOLY SHIT no wonder he doesn't mention the price. And how do you forget to mention its a kickstarter product (oh sorry, "crowd funded") that you cant even buy right now, much less if we will ever see the device delivered as "reviewed". (like that's never happened before)
