btw i've never replaced a motherboard before

my friend gave me his old computer. this is it https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02481325 i wanna upgrade the cpu and motherboard for around $30-$40 (will buy used parts via ebay or craigslist) anyone know what i can upgrade to?

UPDATE: after a long break from trying to fix it it started working again! but after i restarted the computer it once again stopped. i think it might be a driver issue

sadly I don't have any other graphics cards or expresscard devices i can use at the moment

I have a Dell Latitude E6410 laptop with a GTX 760 attached to it via an Exp GDC external graphics card dock. it worked well for about 6 months but suddenly doesn't work anymore. When I start my computer with the dock plugged in the GPU fan will spin at normal speed and the docks green LED turns on but nothing shows up on the external monitor and the GPU doesn't show up in device manager. I've checked to make sure that all the cables are plugged in properly and none of them have a short in them. Please help, I really wanna play my bideo games.

when i try to launch fortnite from the epic games launcher it seems to be loading for a minute, and then this shows up when i click "ok" it shows this anyone got a fix?
