  1. If you have enough and want top of the line, Nvidia sent me an email stating that the 1080 and 1080 Ti are in stock on their official store starting tomorrow so check it out if you already had enough saved up, if not just have them notify you after it goes out of stock again so you might get it then. I recently upgraded from a 970 to the 1080 but the real bottleneck was my FX 6300 which I upgraded to the ryzen 7 1700, but honestly the 970 is a solid card. I only recommend buying from Nvidia at this moment, unless you see a preorder on Amazon which should have a "in stock on xx" estimate, I keep putting in requests at work for more cards so people don't conned for some used mining card. Best of luck, if anyone can hook me up with some reasonable ddr4 prices I appreciate.
  2. Can confirm, also happened here. They fly off the he online shelves so quickly even with the 2 per customer limit. Might be better if it was one per customer limit for now, even paying now to reserve a card for when it becomes available would be nice.
  3. I think with more on the horizon it should be fine to wait a bit longer.
  4. I will try upgrading the RAM in a few weeks after I get an SSD and hopefully that'll fix the problem. Thanks for the suggestion, I'm green when it comes to DDR4.
  5. I recently finished putting my rig together with a Ryzen 7 1700x, a GTX 1080, 8gb of DDR4 2400 MHz, and 1 TB of HDD. I left a lot of bays empty for now until I get more funds, but the issue I've been experiencing is every once in awhile the screen freezes and then everything goes back to normal as if it didn't happen. I have no way of replicating this and I've tried various games to see if any of them were the issue but it really is random and I can't stop it. I'm updated to 391.01 for my GPU. Any suggestions?
  6. That's fair, I'm genuinely just on the lookout for solid sales since it's tax return season and no one should have to pay twice the MSRP for these cards, let alone a used one. I really did luck out getting a card from Amazon, I can put in a request for more because I work there but nothing's guaranteed especially with people actually buying them at the inflated prices from third-party sellers. Update: the best I could find that’s still up is the GTX 1070 Ti founder’s edition from Nvidia’s site for $449, the 1080 I found on Amazon already sold out. Best of luck and hopefully tomorrow brings better luck.
  7. How much are you willing to pay for the 1080 or 1080 ti? I can look around on Amazon like how I found mine not long ago to see if I have anymore luck finding the 1080 at $600 or less than $800. Did you want me to link them in PMs or just update this post with the links?
