  1. Okay good, it's not a permanent solution, it's only until my PSU upgrade arrives... whenever that is
  2. Good to hear, I have a 650W in the mail but since I won't know when it'll arrive it seems a shame to leave the GTX 1070 ti unused
  3. So given the current situation my GPU arrived but my PSU is severely delayed, I'm just wondering if the included PSU in the node 202 is enough to run a Ryzen 5 1600 and GTX 1070 Ti with no overclocks on either? I've checked on pcpartpicker for the power estimate which should apparently leave me with a 120W overhead, but apparently it's a 80+ bronze PSU and nvidia recommend a 500W PSU. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks
  4. Nope nothing has worked, my brother got an upgrade recently so he's giving me his old ryzen which he had no problem doing the update with.
  5. Is it safe at this point to hard reset the PC? Also I don't think the drive is failing because when it reverts back to 1803, I was able to install display drivers again Edit: I hard reset the PC and ran the command 'wmic diskdrive get status' and everything came back okay
  6. So everything was going fine until it started installing and it's frozen at 5% completion, do I just wait and hope?
  7. okay, mine froze at 0% though after the restart
  8. oh are you talking about after the restart?
  9. If I use the tool will I still be given the upgrade this PC option you mentioned?
  10. When you say hang what do you mean? Mine completely freezes, mouse doesn't move, keyboard doesn't respond.
  11. Thanks for the reply, how would I do that? I've gone into the windows folder then to logs then windows update but I can't open any of the files.
  12. Thanks for the reply, do you mean I should use the 'Update Now' or the tool?
  13. I'm trying to update my windows 10 to the 1903 update but nothing I try is working. I don't understand what's going on because it's running fine on the 1803 update. To begin with the update would get to 40-45% then the PC would freeze. After a few troubleshooting steps it would reach 79% then freeze. Few more troubleshooting steps and it would freeze after restarting and reaching the 'working on update' screen. I've done some searching to try and fix the problem but nothing is working, here's what I've done so far: Uninstalled all applications I hardly ever use Run the troubleshooter to detect errors with windows updater (fixed nothing) Defragment all drives in my system (0% fragmented) Scanned drives for failures (100% verified) Reinstall display drivers Remove all USB devices except the keyboard and mouse Check BIOS version (already at most recent) Check if there's enough space on the boot drive (there is plenty) I've completely run out of ideas of what to do to fix it, is something in my system not compatible with the update? Specs: AMD FX8350 Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Geforce GTX 1060 3GB Windows 10 Pro
  14. I'm not sure about (1) but wouldn't (2) result in data loss? I haven't experienced anything like that. IKR, I'm surprised you say that because I've read a lot of forum posts saying WD Black is a noisy HDD. Oh and a pleasure to be of service Any possibility of a defragment fixing this like the comment on the video says?
