  1. Nice, this looks really neat. Personally, Im not too familiar with macOS automator, so I'd use the terminal command to display applications (cant remember it off the top of my head, but you could find it with a google search)
  2. 1650 maxq is honestly only appropriate for those new 13inch ultrabooks with dGPUS. A 15 inch chassis should be able to cool a full 1650 (laptop) and it goes without saying that 1650 (laptop) 1650 maxq
  3. This is a prebuilt, yes? Anyways, that's a nice setup bro! you got dat sick AF rgb
  4. thinkpads or dell latitudes. What are your staff's usecases? Do you care more about budget? if ya wanna save a buck go for latitudes, but if your employees need more performance go for precisions or thinkpads https://www.techrepublic.com/article/dell-vs-lenovo-which-laptops-are-better-for-business/
  5. I bought a founders 2080ti, these things coil whine like a mofo (IDK if its the chips themselves or the individually or different board designs). Hopefully EVGA can rma yours.
  6. so youre saying, you installed the gt 710 into your machine, installed drivers, and now it doesnt give an output? have you tried another port on your gpu?
  7. look im no java jockey, more so python from me, but couldnt you use .split(), several times and iterate through and then work with the recieved values? i know this is janky AF, but it can work sample code (assuming you can parse each row into an array, this is how youd process each row ) i = line r_lhs = i.split("r_lhs=[")[1].split("],")[0].split(",") r_rhs = i.split("r_rhs=[")[1].split("],")[0].split(",") now r_lhs, and r_rhs are arrays that contain the value as specified in the row of the output text that you are parsing (again, im going row by row, and id advise you do that too)
  8. if ECC ram is a concern, then using AMD's mainstream ryzen line up will work just fine (as ryzen offers ECC support). There is no need to go up to such an expensive price tag when A) win2003 or any program on it will never utilize that many cores, and B) ryzen is way cheaper and offers the same technology (albeit less cores)
  9. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/hpRzK8/gigabyte-b450m-ds3h-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-b450m-ds3h cheapest with 4 ram slots... I cant seem to find any amd mobo with vga. This one has dvi and hdmi
  10. https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/47925/intel-xeon-processor-e5620-12m-cache-2-40-ghz-5-86-gt-s-intel-qpi.html look at this list and see if you can find anything old or used
  11. Yeah, it should run games fine, and 8 is enough for roblox. This should perfectly be able to handle a 1030, so long as it has a usable pcie slot
  12. oh and also, if you need more ram, the PC should be able to handle it (unless its HP, they do some oem specific ram thing for some models; its really nasty) What are the exact specs of this inspiron?
  13. Im running an old dell optiplex, its my main windows gaming rig since my most powerful machine runs linux. Plopped in a gt 1030 and bam, runs fine, fits perfectly. The 1030 should be able to run roblox like a breeze, and because of the low wattage chip, sip power from the PSU with no concern for using up too much power, since the chip runs at 30 watts, and not a full 75 watts which according to most forums, OEM pc's struggle to provide through the pcie slot. Gt 1030 should work in your case, and I personally recommend this one from ZOTAC, as i've used it Be careful though, DO NOT BUY a GDDR4 version, as those run like crap. If you do choose to buy a 1030, please ensure that you are purchasing a gddr5 vesion, so that you do not waste money because of nVidia's utterly horrible penny pinching scheme. (the one linked above is gddr5)
