  1. If it wouldn't post in 2 different boards there's a 95% chance, at least, that it's dead. If you got your money back just turn it into an art piece or something, throw it away, do whatever.
  2. Well when they are back up the issue will be automatically resolved, contacting them won't make them solve the massive server problem any faster.
  3. Steam is down right now, don't waste your time contacting steam. Check out /r/steam if you don't believe me.
  4. Trying to solve a random shutdown problem with my computer, I've completely unquestionably narrowed it down to RAM or the motherboard. I bought some B die DDR4 as a first step but am betting there's a good chance I'll have to buy a new motherboard too. I've really never liked this one much, but it does supposedly have great VRM (Biostar X370GT7). What are some good lower priced, say like $150ish and under, X470 boards with solid VRMs for overclocking, at least one M.2 slot, and in general relatively good quality?
  5. Yeah I'd avoid spending 55% of your budget on a GPU when you're only going to go 1080p 60hz. A 2070 or Vega 56/64 would be more than enough. More room for higher quality motherboard, RAM, etc.
  6. HP laptops have had some issues with GPUs dying in the past from what I remember.
  7. Artificial benchmarks are completely worthless. Benchmark in the games you use, simple as that.
  8. I mean "wouldn't bother with them" is quite a stretch... there's nothing wrong with them. You just might need a 1000 series Ryzen to update BIOS assuming it doesn't come updated from the factory, which mine always have personally.
  9. I would go for it, you use paypal right? They always side with the buyer if something goes wrong.
  10. Let me take a wild guess... you had multiple storage devices connected when you installed Windows? Windows is completely retarded about where to install the bootloader, the only safe way to install Windows properly is by disconnecting every drive except the one you want to be your boot drive while running the install. If that's not it then I'm not sure what to tell you.
  11. Read the release notes for the drivers, like 191 said, it was fixed in the latest drivers.
  12. I would suggest you look at Vega 64 vs 2070 benchmarks for the games you play. The Vega 64 blows past the 2070 in some games and is a little bit behind it in others.
