Well, I think I have ruled out PSU, bought the new one and got it up and running and I started to artifact in Escape From Tarkov. Any idea on how to go about getting a RMA from EVGA or Newegg?

I want to say it is a modular Cx 650. I have thought about changing PSU out ASAP but I wanted to make sure it wasn't something else first.

Hey guys and gals, I desperately need your help. Before we start here are my specs i7 8700k EVGA GTX 1080ti Black 16gb Corsair RGB DDR4 Ram MSI z370 Gaming Plus Corsair 650w power supply 2 500gb SanDisk SSDs 1 500gb Samsung HDD My issue is that my PC is freezing during gaming sessions with no errors and I can NOT figure out why. I play Dota 2, CSGO, Rocket League, and all of my Oculus Rift games without crashing. When I play COD Black ops 4, Sea of Thieves, Fortnite, Escape from Tarkov, my PC screen freezes with audio continuing. I can NOT alt+f4 out and I have to manually reboot my computer. I have tried so many things. I have wiped my windows and drives and started fresh to no avail, I have rolled back drivers, I have installed using DDU. I have ran CPU and GPU stress tests and no freezing there. I have ran memtest86 with 0 errors. I do have an issue however when I run timespy that my screen freezes just like when I play games. I am about to give up and start replacing hardware unless someone knows a better solution. I am assuming that it is a bad PSU or GPU but I don't have extras to throw in sadly.

Honestly couldn't tell you at the moment. It's sitting in a closet with a whole bunch of other PC parts. all i know is that it came off of a i5 750 build awhile ago

I have a msi z97 PC mate motherboard and a intel i5 4690k. My problem is this: When I go into my bios it does not let me change any numbers for my CPU, the only thing it allows me to do is use OC Genie which locks my overclock at 4Ghz. If anyone could help out that would be great

Well.. I 3 hours yesterday attempting everything to get the heatsink on. It turned out that the bracket didn't even match my motherboard and there were so many minor issues that it just was not worth it. I got the heatsink for free from my uncle so I am not losing any money with it. I would like it to be around the same size but I am clueless on how much MS response time matters and all of that.

It's a long shot, but you can always try changing the steam download location. Open steam home page, top left, steam, settings, downloads, location.

Thank you all for your responses. My budget is going to be around 100-200. I did have a Zalman heatsink similar to the hyper 212 but it does not fit with my case without me having to remove a stick of ram.. (more is better am i right) So I am leaning heavily towards liquid cooling. I have narrowed it down between an SSD, liquid cooling, and a monitor. If anyone can give me specific suggestions that would be great

Anyway, I have a mid-tier gaming PC CPU: Intel i5 4690k GPU: EVGA GTX 960 4GB SSC HDD: 500GB Toshiba drive RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1666Mhz Mobo: MSI PC Mate z97 ATX 3 Stock fans CPU Cooling: Stock PSU: 500W EVGA Peripherals - Logitech G602 Wireless mouse - Logitech G910 Orion Spark Mechanical Keyboard -Headset Steeleseries wired headset - Monitor HP Compaq LA2205wg Now that i've got that out of the way, I'm starting to look for upgrades for my build. I have looked at CPU coolers, a SSD, and a new monitor. If anyone has any ideas, comments, or concerns please let me know.
