I'm looking for some old GPUs, Motherboards, and the like that are dead, or outdated. I want to put them on shelves in my office for aesthetic purposes. Does anyone know where I can find cheap/free hardware no one will miss? (aside from what Linus has dropped).

I did find a single socket motherboard for about $70 on Ebay. I was going to go with 32GB of DDR3 ECC memory. ECC seems to be pretty cheap at the moment.

I had planned on using it as just a home server. Extra storage and maybe a cloud workstation for my fiancee.

I'm using a Ryzen 5 1600, I don't manually overclock it because I get all the performance I need from it. Not saying don't OC, but I'm just wondering why so high? As for the temps, 81 is a bit high, but safe I guess. I'm running a Cryorig M9A and I've never had my thermals above 40 at load. How I don't know, but that's what CPU-Z tells me.

So, I recently found some AMD Opteron 6174 Server CPUs on Ebay for $15, and a Socket G34 Motherboard for $150. I was wondering if building an EATX home server with these CPUs would be a good idea. I know the architecture is old. I don't know much about server building, so any advice is helpful.

Also, I swapped the blue fan for a red one. My builds name is Reaper.

I have the above case. It has a typical panel for access, however, I want to spice its looks up a bit. I want a clear side panel, and I'm not sure what will fit. If anyone knows where to get one that fits, let me know.

It probably is. I was going to use it for a scrap build for fun.

So, I was on the FB market place, and spotted a free case for one of my junker builds I am working on. I'm not sure what brand or anything, would anyone here possibly know what it is?

To everyone who posted, thank you. I finally got it to work. My windows was being stubborn. Telling me it updated and then not updating. It finally updated and I have been enjoying my setup since.

Gigabyte told me that certain versions of Windows aren't supported, which doesn't make much sense to me. But here is that information.

I didn't know I needed those drivers. That would help make more sense of it.

This is what it does when I try the drivers. I've seated the GPU properly and tried the drivers. Is it possible that my motherboard and GPU both being from Gigabyte are causing it to show up differently?
