10Gbps networking (cheap) solutions.
Slowly the internet speed is going up fast. I have a 1.5Gbps internet from Bell, fiber optic. It will soon go up to 3Gbps and maybe soon 5, 10??
I can only use 1Gbps as all my hardware is limited to this speed.
I have 2 computers wired to the router.
I'm planning an upgrade to all the network, but just to get a router capable of 10Gbps with 1 WAN 10Gbps and 2xRJ45 10Gbps it's impossible to find, maximum I found 2 ports 10Gbps ($$$$$), then I need another switch.
Do I need it right now? NO.
But planning for un upgrade to future proof at least for a few years it would be great to have the 10Gbps option.
It would be great to see a video with cheap options for home for router, switch, network cards all working at multi-gig.

This is what I'm using now for a couple 2.5GbE devices off my main switch and it works well.

Yes that's a good solution. I can accept the ISP (frontier) Router see if it has a bridge more or turn off it's wifi. ISP router >> Switch >> old router. It adds a device to my network but should be a far less power draw than corporate equipment.
Thank you!

Is this AT&T? If you're in bridge mode then you'll need to go [AT&T Box] >> Router >> Switch, otherwise if you're having the AT&T box do the routing and not pass the public IP to your router then you can put a switch in the middle. There are some cheap-ish 2.5GbE switches on the market you can use.
