  1. I should also mention that I do have a PCI E wifi card installed, but it doesn't have any antennas attached to it because for whatever reason since I built a new PC it only gets 3 down 1 up. on my old pc it was 120 down. I did attach some antennas to it though and it didn't see any connections. https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Wi-Fi-Express-Adapter-PCE-AC56/dp/B00JNA337K/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=asus+wifi+card&qid=1552784378&s=gateway&sr=8-3
  2. PC part picker > https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zLYpQZ So my wifi setup is good, every other device on my network is getting about 100 down 3-15 up depending on the device. My PC has suddenly been dropping connection though and I'm not sure what's changed. When I run a speed test, it will jump up to 150 down and but the final result will be around 8-12 down. so far I have reset my network drivers and updated my wifi driver from a download link on the asus website, but that's about it so far. Any ideas?
  3. I've been losing my mind over figuring out why all of a sudden I would start having issues with discord. So for other people, when I talk, it cuts out a lot for when I'm talking. So here's a little info of what I'm working with My internet is great, 180 down 20 up 12 ping My mic is great, I did an audio recording through sony vegas, no cutting out there whatsoever. I did a fresh install of Discord and Voice meter Banana even with my input sensitivity all the way down to the left, my voice will cut out. Most of the time I'm in the green with the server connection, sometimes yellow, sometimes red. I live in the midwest.
  4. lets be honest, their latest update is absolute shit. Does anyone here know how I could downgrade to a previous version? current version: 3.3.331.41818 It was perfect for me on : 3.3.330.40616 but im open to any of the previous versions.
  5. So I use a razor deathadder elite, and razor just updated synapse 3.0 and its totally broken, so i cant use my macros now, is there any way to downgrade to the previous software, or is there an alt software that will work well?
  6. Disregard the picture, So I have jperf up and running, what sever address am i supposed to input?
  7. Alirght, trying Jperf now, and I wish I was smarter.I'm supposed to run jperf.bat. but that's not included in the zip file. I assume bat is short for batch file. I cant find Javaw.. So not i assume I have to install something with Java? This is all going over my head
  8. Alright so which test should I do right now for my NIC
  9. so youre suggesting, i disable my onboard wifi, so that it defaults to the wifi card? I have tried that, and my wifi card will discover networks, just wont be able to connect.
  10. does this mean anything to you? (I'm sorry for my ignorance)
  11. Okay, but like literally 3 days ago, when i was using my other PC, i was getting 150 down. It's not like weeks had gone by. I didn't change anything with my networking and am using the same wifi card my old PC had. I wen't about 9ish hours inbetween computers and discovering this slow speed.
  12. This is a very valid question thats pushing my technical know how. It could definitely be a potential fix, just not sure how/where i can see the bandwith
  13. yeah the antennas are screwed on for both of them, ive tried all the configurations. switching antennas, just having the antennas for one of the cards, etc. So when i do the speed test through google, it'll go through Texas, and i get 1-5 down. this is accurate because whenever I download a file, its slow as shit. When i do a speedtest through ookla, or whatever its called, i get 60 down.
  14. Alright so I built a brand new pc a couple days ago parts list https://pcpartpicker.com/list/39gK8Y So the on board wifi card wasnt preforming well. getting 5 down 15 up, on my previous pc it was 150 down 50 up.. okay, i guess the integrated wifi sucks, so I buy the same wifi card i put in my previous pc, which i know works really well for me. (PCE-AC56) Alright so I get this new card installed, doesnt connect. It'll detect networks, with low signal strength, and not connect. So I update the driver for it, update my wifi, chipset, bios. still, the only way to connect to the internet is with the integrated wifi chip. I have also updated the firmware on my router (Netgear). The latest thing ive done is switching my wifi card into a different PCi-e slot, which may be pointless, but im trying anything lol. That did nothing. I'm somewhat tech savvy, but im pretty stumped here. The goal is to get my old internet speeds back, using either wifi chip, I dont care at this point. Here are all the drivers i see in my networking device manager, even hidden ones. https://imgur.com/a/WcpDL
