Well i didnt intend for it seem like oh hey i have tons of money so i need to spend more. It was to say that the board lacks ez of use features and expandability which i laid out in the response. I do plan to overclock in the future but nothing major do to it being a newer path to me. I want a board with many m.2 slots code display many usb ports ready to hold 2 gpus and ready for a waterloop and ready for a 2 560mm radiators plus rgb controls so i dont see that in a 170 board.
-
interesting im sure i remember someone saying that optix produced worse renders but maybe they were wrong it seems far faster
-
Well on am5 isnt 13900k better than 7950x since it has more cores and for Rdna3 you think they could beat nvidia in blender. i only prefer nvidia for blender and stability.
-
I also want this to be a end all be all computer for the sake that i wont have to upgrade or worry about large projects taking 30 days to render for the next 5 years
-
so this is what im thinking to. even if i got the threadripper 5955wx for over a grand it has less cores and threads than a 13900k
-
"Bc i like it not bc its good" A true pc enthusiast
-
The words older older and new pc kinda got me scared i still plan to use this as a daily driver
-
Are you talking about a Threadripper is that really an option with the ones i saw being 5 grand on their own
-
absolutely agree with windows not being a fan of so many things pluged in i have even go to the point of the computer out right not accepting more usb devices in the past
-
well not to sounds crazy but 2 keyboards, 2 mice, headphones, focusrite for my mic, and console controller for games is normal, vr headset, my cintiq
-
ok so then im my wants for the computer would it not be better then to have 2 3090s so i can game on one and render with the other in sometimes and render with both other times?
-
im looking at the boards now, looking at the asrock it seems a little lesser so being less usb ports, no code display. im truely looking for something that is more if that makes sense.
-
oooooohhh! so then as i understand it more vram is good for rendering would it be better to jus tgo 4090 or 3090 plus 7900xt or something else for best render times
-
so then if i had a nvlink i could not use there vram together to render faster?
-
the board supports 3 m.2 so i was gonna get 3 in the end. also do you think it would be better to render with a amd card over a nvidia for blender bc my plan is to not use sli but to have 2 separate cards doing 2 different things
-
the 4090 at best will be 1600 where if i buy 2 3090s its around 19-1800 and I get far more vram for rendering. Im not sure what you mean about the mother board can you explain.
-
I plan to game on one but with the other use for streaming or rendering while I play games at the same time
-
sure iI can post for most of the parts the only reason I didnt was because it doesnt show any waterloop items
-

I agree as I am new to taking this direction I feel it is best to sit 1 on 1 with someone who knows better than me. That can be hard to come by in some aspects but I will do my best. I have always been far more interested and use to hardware and maintenance of personal and work computers. leaving that to go into the cyber space is undoubtedly difficult. I do believe in my ability to learn and grow with the expansion. Since I will be given almost full control of the section of business and having a close relationship with the owner I also feel I can control the speed of growth to be manageable and allow me to grow with it.

Agreed the way I was doing things was slow and inconvenient but originally I was only in charge of 1 small branch of the company so had far less numbers to control and had physical access to the PCs at all times. I do apologies for my snappy remark as at the time you were the 5th person to come with less of do this or try this because x y z and with the compounding people saying I can't do this or acting rude made me feel as if I was being attack for 1 question just because I wanted to peer review my thoughts. I have since figured out a new system of management and monitoring with out the need of many programs and direct access to the complete PC's information. I also have narrowed done my software to more leading and common MSP users. I plan to also lower the number of hardware devices connected to the network and want to look into going with a UTM. I will have to figure out some research on them to see who is leading the industry but Fortinet is appearing a lot and seems reliable so doubling up should provide a strong barrier.

Totally right there is no such thing as a perfect system let alone a 100% secure anything on the connected world, was never made to be and likely never will be. I do understand your position and was only trying to get across that we don't chose what people want and more is always better to most of them. But I was also trying shift back to the topic only because I didn't see the conversion producing and benefit other than to act as if the question had deeper meaning in a way that I was getting a feeling of being told that if I had to ask then I was in the wrong which I never agree with that a question is wrong or not a good way to gather new information (cant know everything) and Tech changes too fast for anyone person.

Wouldn't me knowing their password be a benefit being that most password managers if you forget you master key lock you out entirely. So then if I want to give them the freedom of their own password would that not lead me to being unable to help them in the case of it being lost. Or do I let them have personal passwords that I don't not know in everything else but the master key and give them all a password manager on each computer individually. Edit: I'm not sure how I would go about checking on there password security in the Dark Web without having the passwords available in the que for searching.
