d3adc3II got a reaction from Mr.Muffins in Does anyone here play MOBA games?
Been playing Dota 1 and 2 for almost 20 years lolz. Dota 2 has complex gameplay with unique game mechanic.

Obviously, it's not possible to understand it fully just by playing 2 games. Even though the meta change time to time, you actually will understand most basic things in 2,3 months.

I suggest you take a look at https://www.dotabuff.com
It covers most of basic things you need ( current itemization, meta, builts, strength and weakness of each hero and their counters

Been playing FPS games with mouse and keyboard for 25 years. I only use controller to play such games like Fifa, street fighters or GTA.

d3adc3II got a reaction from Scorpio 72472 in Is Mouse Accleration Bad?
Short answer: it's bad for muscle memory.
Anything that is not constant and stable is bad for muscle memory.

Long answer: If it works for you, you can keep it. But if you want to improve in higher level, first thing you can do is to turn it off. The learning curve can be quite painful at first, but it's worth the effort.

d3adc3II got a reaction from suchamoneypit in Random stutters in game while maintaining high FPS
Micro stuttering , stuttering has nothing to do with high FPS. It's normal that you reach 200 FPS, but occasionally down to 40 every few minutes.

Use LatencyMon to check what cause stuttering
Proper way to check for stuttering is by using MSI Afterburner , and log the frametime graph.

First of all, to answer to question:
    - to the point i could mark spots on my desk, and as long as i dont lift it up, a point on my desk will always represent the same point on my screen -> I dun really understand what you mean ? Of course if you don't move and lift up, it should stay the same position ?
    - please explain me why no one uses bog standard HP mice for gaming? Hmm u know optical sensors also have variety of model right ? The best one in the market right now is PWW3360, HERO, TrueMove1  and they are optical.

    Secondly, about Laser Vs Optical
    - Laser sensor is not preferable in gaming world, because it's too ACCURATE, to the point that it tends to pick up more detail than necessary. This is the fact: Almost all top gaming mice are optical. Laser mouse usage does not exist among pro gamers
    https://prosettings.net/cs-go-pro-settings-gear-list/

    3rd, Light vs Heavy
    - The majority of competitive fps gamers use low sensitivity (400-800 dpi), you need to move your hand ALOT. Therefore, light mouse is much more efficient since it wont stress your hand too much
The fact is: most pro fps players prefer light mouse. Check out the link.
    https://prosettings.net/cs-go-pro-settings-gear-list/

It's all about fps genre. If you play other game genres, any mouse will work. I'm glad your mouse works for you in games, it's all about personal preference but do let me know what kind of games you play, and what dpi you are using, I probably can understand why you find MX series mouse is good.

Just install a good security software ( Symantec, Kaspersky) and it's enough.

Such kind of security exploit news are all over the Internet nowadays.

    Windows sure has security holes
Some wifi drivers have security exploits
    Asus, Gigabyte also have

As an end user, should you worry about it ? No. Be happy and remember to sleep well.

If u are not a rich guy, dun buy for future.

32 gbs ram, i9 is overkill and wont run better than 16Gbs, i7 and just little bit better than i5
Unless nvidia come out with better gpu than now.

d3adc3II got a reaction from dgsddfgdfhgs in Question of the following year - I9 9900k vs Ryzen 7 2700X
People say Intel is better for gaming. Yes, it's true but ... what's the point when GPU bottleneck is there ?

I hope you play game @1080p, for my case, i play @ 3440x1440 , so basically any CPU is fine. The price different is not justify real performance for gaming. Wait, maybe If i game @ 720p I will definitely get i9.

Even if Intel release 6 GHz CPU, real fps improvement is 1-2, unless Nvidia give us express ticket to faster lane 1 more time.

    Bonus: 2600k lolz

    d3adc3II got a reaction from RAM555789 in My 4930k is faster then a 8700k @ 3700Mhz.
Compare the cpu by its single core performance is so year 2000, 8700 > 4930k because (Yes, I take 8700 non K to compare with Oced 4930k) :

    - 8700 utilize DDR4 while 4930k can't, so real life perm will be very different
    - Multicore/thread perf >>> single core ( most application/games utilize 4 cores by today standard)
    - Byu the way, that result is only for reference. In real life, 8700 run @ 4.7 Ghz turbo boost. 3.7 Ghz is only when cpu in ... idle mode lol

d3adc3II got a reaction from oahbpn in What motherboard should i get???
What's ur budget? intend to do custom loop ? how many ssd/hdd ? case size ?

Overall, Fractal Design R6 is a very good case for everything, It has good airflow, modular design, 2 layouts for your needs.

Lian Li PC-01 Dynamic if plan to go for custom loop since it's currently the best case for that stuff right now.

The upcoming Phantek Evolv X: classy look, high quality material, alot of improvements from the last version

The upcoming Cooler Master C700M looks very good as well, but it comes with a price.

d3adc3II got a reaction from dgsddfgdfhgs in PC part cost become very unbalanced recent years
Yes, I agree pc part cost become abit unbalance nowadays. One of the reason is aesthetics. ( Desktop war is real)
Pure performance is no longer a main factor. For example :
    - Ppl go for 4x8 GBs ram cuz it looks nicer to fill up all 4 ram slots with RGB.
    - Buy gtx 1070 , and spend almost the same amount to cool it down with custom loop

It's not a bad thing, btw.

Same here man, Lian Li and Silverstone always have the place in my heart. I owned Lian-Li v1000, QB-08, Silverstone TJ07 , TJ09, FT02, FT03 lolz

When Lian Li , Sliverstone making premium cases 10 years ago :

    - Corsair Obsidian didn't exist
    - NZXT is making budget casing
    - Cooler Master Cosmos didn't exist
    - Phanteks, Fractal Design does not exist

To me, I always want to see Silverstone/Lian-Li lead the premium market one more time.
Back to the topic, compare those two casing:

    - Evolv X built quality is better ( full aluminium)
    - Both have great airflow
    - PC-O11 Dynamic is better for custom loop ( there are so many options for rad placement)
    - Evolv X if you want alot of storages / 2-in-1 setup with ITX/ATX combo
    - PC-O11 if you want to show up ur RGB setup lolz

7200 dpi is toooooo fast for fps.

For fps game, the lower the better. Ideally u should use 400-800 or 1200 max.

I went from 1200 to 400 and it improved my aim
