Best to get a cheaper PC (around 20-30$ optiplex's will do) for the secure stuff. And an RTX based PC for gaming.
This way the gaming PC won't effect your files. And you won't have to deal with OS updated on the cheaper PC with a different OS, say Windows 7.

Folks, keep in mind that running out of TBWs is not the only cause of SSD demise. Other chips, such as the controller, are more likely to be the ones that kill an SSD than the NAND chips.

Personally, I use a 500GB EVO SSD and i've written 2.6TB to it so far and it's still working great, while QVO will have fewer write cycles for you to use up (how many times you can write files to the same sector of an ssd), as long as you aren't constantly updating your media, or constantly updating and modifying a large number of files all in one go, I would say go for it, save some money, store your files, and always remember to make backups, just in case.

I learned this the hard way too when I purchased a cheap (but luckily not fire hazard) PSU. I've since learned to buy a bit more than I need, and something of quality, too, because it can follow me from build to build for at least 5-10 years rather than having to be upgraded every build.

Over the time I have built my PC...
I basically ordered whatever I could possibly manage to acquire without going into debt... Now I am looking at buying a new GPU, specifically a Radeon VII, because AMD for the win I guess ?... and if I want to upgrade my GPU I HAVE TO upgrade my monitor, and my PSU just to make use of almost ANY newer/better GPU... not that my PSU couldn't handle it, but I would have to remove most of my (internal) storage drives, add-in cards, and whatnot just to make sure I have enough wattage to make the most use of better hardware; as for my monitor... lets just say I'll need a monitor with AT LEAST HDMI, preferably freesync, and a higher refresh rate than 60hz.

So in order to get a newer monitor (which I have already chosen), PSU (also chosen), and GPU, it comes out to around $1,230 (I think this is with certain deals/discounts on newegg)... I currently have less than $450 in my checking account... Eff-Me...?

There's nothing like doing something without planning, thought, or brains... Now I get to fix all my mistakes, buying everything new, and not cheaping out on ANYTHING like the twat I was/ am.

Personal advice for new builders: Planning a build for a "new" PC should ALWAYS include some planning and thought about your parts... even if GPU mining, DRAM shortages/ literally ANYTHING else causes prices to skyrocket on what you want... Also, just don't cheap out too much, it might come back to bite you later when you want to upgrade...

Afterburner works for almost any GPU.. I don't know if other companies programs works that way, though.. Like Aorus Engine or EVGA XOC.. Afterburner is DEFINITELY fine, though.

When I had my Vega 64 I would set my settings in Wattman/Radeon and then just open afterburner to utilize the on screen display/monitoring while gaming..
