  1. Was planning on swapping them with the Cougar HDB fans I have now. My current GPU temps are 45c idle and 50C under load. It's a 780 windfore GHz edition running dual 24in 1080P monitors at 144hz. I'm planning on grabbing that new ROG Swift Monitor (1440, 27'in 144hz) when it comes out and either running SLI or Running Dual monitors (27/24) until the 800 series comes out (certian it's not a good idea to run 3 high end monitors off one card). Anyway I was thinking of getting 2 140MM and 2 120MM fans with either the Sunbeam Rhobeus Extreme fancontroller or the Sumbeam Rheobus 6 fan controller a both these appear to be able to control PMW and 3 pin fans. I current have a Phantom 530 case and the built in fan controller is okay but I want good control with the ippc fans. Are these fans are worth the money and what kind of difference will I see as far as tempatures are concerned. Not overly concerned about noise as my main works spaces are in server rooms with servers that I am sure are just jet engines in disguise.
  2. Processor 4800K series i7, debating if I should get the x60 or the x40. I do plan to overclock but only to 4.2Ghz and probably not higher. Will only be gaming. Case is Phantom 530, so looking to stick with the kraken series.
  3. I'm currently using the QCK heavy mouse pad, with a Zowie EC2 eVo. I love the mouse pad to death, but my desk space is limited (dual 24in moniters) so I'm looking for pretty much the QCK heavy but smaller.
  4. Was looking at this or a 840 pro (which i already have one of in my laptop, 256gb) and I must say it's amazing. I was gonna get one for my desktop, but then I saw the M500 480gb for only $269 where as the 256GB Pro is $200. For the price, the m500 can't be beat and based on reviews it's only slightly slower but I wasn;t able to find to much about it.
  5. The kraken x60 uses 140mm fans. The AF-12's are only 120mm.
  6. I'm going to replace the fans on my x60, and a lot of reviews have said the stock fans are garbage. The NF-A14s seem to be the absoulte best choice but I don't know if I need the PMW version or the FLX model (3 pin I assume). My though are since it's cooling the cpu you will want to plug it directly into the MoBo and not a fan controller, hence the PMW version but I want to be sure.
  7. Looking for best airflow and need the colour to be black with no leds. Noise isn't a huge issue. I've been looking at the Corsair Air Series (AF/SP), Bitfenix Spectre pros and the Cougar series (black). I've seen some poor reviews on the Bitfenix's, and the black cougars are kind of hard to find (Shopping on Amazon becasue my address is a P.O box due to being in the Military, will shop elsewhere if they ship to P.O boxes, NCIX and Newegg don't), and the Corsairs have very mixed reviews. I'll have them mounted both horizantal and vertical behind mesh and some filters. Just wondering what you guys can recommend. If it's of any help they will be going into a NZXT Phantom 530 (black) and hooked up to a fan controller. These are for airflow as my CPU will be cooled using an AIO (Kraken x60). I will also be running GTX 780 (Windforce) in SLI.
  8. So I plan on adding fans to the phantom 530, here are the specs. Front 2x140mm/ 120mm or 1x200mm(1 x 200mm included) Rear 1x140mm (included) / 120mm Bottom 2x120mm Side 1x140mm Top 2x200mm/ 140mm or 3x120mm Interior 1x120mm/140mm I'm adding 2x 120MM to the bottom, the top will have a Kraken x60 and the stock fans. I'll be replacing the rear fan with a corsair AF140, and adding one 120mm to the interior and another 140 to the side.. Now I'm wondering what configuration I should run. The case has a 10port fan hub and I'm wondering will that suffice or should I get a NZXT sentry mix for some of the fans and use the hub for the others., or just connect everything to the 10port. I was thinking the Sentry would give me some more control, but i might be wrong.
  9. The GPu is watercooled, but I'm just getting another one and got someone who wants the GPU. I have no intention of transferring the loop over. just gonna run everything with a x60 kraken in the Phanbtom 530. also, I know about disassembling everything but that's not a problem. Was just the watercooling I was worried about. Thanks for the replies.
  10. To be honest, I really don't care. All i feel when i look at that case is hate. Thinking of the struggle of carrying that shit and in the future. I know I'm losing money but i just wanna be rid of it.
  11. All my parts are fine, it's just the case that's the problem. I'm in the Military and live in barracks so space is a bit of an issue. That and lugging a 100pound+ case up flight of stairs.... My though are just drain the res, the disconnect and drain everything else. unscrew/unhook everything and pop it in the new case.
  12. Alright, so I was being stupid and on a inpulse I bough a premade PC.....Anyway I got the Erbus XL from Ibuypower and got a custom loop in (dual quad rads). Anyway, for shipping, they said due to the size it had to be special shipped (should have been a red flag). Anway, the shipping weight says 114, that's it. Fastforward, I get this PC, and it weights over 100 punds, solid steel case and what not and just to big to be practical in any sense. So i've got a new case on order and I plan on draining the watercooling, and just using an AIO (kraken x60). The parts will be sold or used elsehwere. Anyway, I'm going from this case to a P530. I'm just wondering how hard it will to be drain the watercooling, and swap everything over to my P530 case, and if there is anything I should watch out for. Being even more stupid, I also got the option of the professional wiring so everything should be sleeved.
  13. If it was out between now and feb first when i was going to buy the case I would, trust me.
  14. Alright, I spent about the last week and a half looking at cases and finally narrowed it down to the 530 or 630 but I really can't decide which to get. Both cases look great, and don't seem much bigger than each other. I plan on using the x60 cooler (compatible with both 530/630), running one 780 right now, and eventually SLI, running the NZXT hue (included with the 630) and I also plan on adding the corsair AF/SP fans to the empty slots. I've googled which it better, and spent time reading reviews and everything is so inconclusive. I have an ATX mobo right now, but looking at a future proof case as well, both can fit EATX. Just can't seem to make up my mind, so if anyone has any input please feel free to add. Either way, this case will be sitting on the floor as I'm limited on space due to my dual moniter set up.
