Oh, sorry about that. The only thing that'll be reused is the ram, motherboard, storage, and case. I looked at the chances of getting on the Newegg Shuffle, sellers posting "reasonable prices" for gpu's, won't even bother trying to get one retail. My chances aren't good. Plus, the Newegg Shuffle is overcharging me for gpu's. For an example, the RTX 3060 on the Newegg shuffle is $529.99. I found a pre-built for $1,369.99, with an RTX 3060, i5-11600kf, 16gb of ram, and 500gb ssd. My plan was to take the gpu and cpu, sell the rest.

Hello all! I'm having a little difficulty sorting out and planning my build. My current pc and laptop situation is I have my main gaming desktop, one gaming laptop, and one office/work laptop. The issue I'm having is as you all know, it's difficult to get a gpu at the moment or at least at a fair price. So, I looked into pre-builts and found some deals. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to buy a pre-built and just taking the parts from there to my current gaming desktop. I plan on removing most of the old stuff in my current desktop like my gpu, cpu, and possibly my psu. Would you all recommend this plan? Or should I just wait on the newegg shuffle? From what I understand, it takes a while to get chosen, plus the prices seem a bit more than what's expected. I plan on getting at least somewhere from an RTX-2060 super and an I7-10700 to a RX 6700 XT and a 5800x. Thanks!

I was actually thinking about a used GTX 1070. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone with extra hardware, so I might have to look for one.

I currently have a MSI x570 Gaming Edge Wifi (I already know about the hot vrm's and won't be overclocking too extreme), G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32GB 3600 ram, and a WD Black SN750 NVMe 1TB m.2 ssd. I was planning to build a 5900x and a 6700xt build, but we all know that won't happen this year. So, I've decided to go with a Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 1070 or a RTX 2060. The issue is, any of the RTX cards are overpriced and out of stock at the moment. I chose a GTX 1070, because my laptop has a GTX 1070 and a I7-8750H, while being able to play at 144hz with high to maxed out settings (depending on the game). So, should I build the Ryzen 5 3600 and a GTX 1070 now or wait? Another thing I need to mention, my current gpu, the AMD R9-390X is dying, constant over heating after a repaste and the gpu constantly crashes, even with previous/current drivers. My cpu just can't keep up and it's just too slow. I have an overclock on both because of the degradation of my hardware and slow speeds. I don't have to explain more, since my pc hardware is eight years old. Please write down your opinions and ideas, I'm all ears!

Hello all! I'm wondering if anyone knows what type of thermal solution ( thermal pad or thermal paste) is used on laptop VRMs. Specifically, the Zephyrus S GX531-GS. I opened up my laptop and as I was reapplying thermal paste on the GPU/CPU, I've noticed some of the VRMs had some sort of paste, in my observation. Now, I noticed that people say to avoid paste, but can anyone explain to me what that is? I can't tell if it's paste or a pad, but when I touch it, it stains my hand (which leads me to believe that a paste was used on the VRMs and not a pad). Now, I understand how stupid this post sounds, but I was curious. I need to replace the "paste" or "pad" on the VRMs, since it isn't on the heat sink properly and is coming off the sides. Any ideas what I can use to replace the thermal solution for the VRMs? Thanks all!

Hello all, I'm looking to get a headset and wondering which would be a good choice. In terms of budget, I want to stay below $90. The only reason why I want to stay with Corsair, is because nearly all my peripherals are Corsair and they have treated me well (except for my headset). My current headset is the Corsair Void RGB wireless and it's having charging/ quality issues (ear cushion came off, the mic arm broke, and the headset keeps shutting off, while it's plugged in). Choices: HS60- 7.1 Virtual Surround Sound - Wired - $50 USD. HS70- 7.1 Surround Sound - Wireless - $80 USD. Now, I understand that I'm comparing a wireless headset to a wired and the price difference is huge. From your personal experience, which is the better choice? Which has better sound quality and which will be better for the future (in terms of reliability and headset life). *If you have any of headsets to recommend, please comment below! Thank you!

Honestly, I'm not looking to upgrade for a while. I was looking for performance, while not breaking the bank completely. Also, the reason for the overkill mobo's are the looks and the m.2 slots. I think the 3700x is great, but I built an i9-9900kf build for similar pricing. I guess it depends on when the time comes to decide. I'm going with 32gb, just to make the build that much more interesting. Also, I'm not looking to get another amd gpu, as they disappointed me in the past. I like the build list, through I don't like have two ram sticks. That's just a personal thing. Also, not going with amd for the gpu this time. Amd has let me down in the past in terms of gpu performance. I might stick with Nvidia and I'm still deciding on whether I want amd or intel. I decided to take out my EVGA Supernova 1000 G2 from my previous pc, unless someone buys the whole pc. I would like something with a rgb fan, but I'm not sure if Thermaltake's PSU's are any good.

Hello all, I wanted to ask the forums what would be the ideal build for my gaming needs. Currently, I'm on a 1080p monitor and will go to a 144hz monitor. I play games such as L4D2, Beamng Drive, Six Siege, GTA 5, Project Cars 2, F1 2019, BF1, BF3, BF4, BF5, FSX, Gmod, City Skylines, and CSGO. My budget is around $1700. Here are my potential builds: AMD: Ryzen 3700x, RTX 2060 Super OR used GTX 1070, 32 gb DDr4 NEO Trident Z rgb ram, Gigabyte x570 ultra mobo. Intel: Intel I7-9700k, RTX 2060 super or used GTX 1070, 32 gb ddr4 Trident Z rgb ram, Gigabyte Z390 ultra mobo. Note, the reason I put the used GTX 1070 is because my current laptop has the Max-Q version, which is able to play nearly all my games at 144hz and nearly maxed out. Now, I can get a used 1070 for around $230 usd. Would it be wise to go with the RTX 2060 super or GTX 1070 for my needs? Also, I understand that the 3700x beat the i7-9700k is certain things, but will it be good enough for gaming? This is me coming from an i5-4690k and AMD R9-390x. Thank you all!

Hello all! I need some help choosing some parts. I currently play GTA 5, Project cars 2, Forza Horizon 4, BF1,3,4,5, Six Siege, SC2, L4D2, CSGO, and Flight sim. Here are the parts I'm deciding on: GPU: RTX 2070 vs RTX 2060 Super vs used GTX 1070 (I'm seeing them for around $200 on craigslist. The reason why I put this is because my laptop has a 1070 Max-Q and it runs pretty much all my games at 144hz on high.) CPU: Ryzen 3700x vs Ryzen 3800x vs i7-9700K I know these have minor to medium price differences, but I need a good upgrade this time. I'm still on my first build, which has an r9-390x and an i5-4690k. It's just too slow now. Yes, the games are on ssd's. I plan on getting a 144hz monitor or a free sync monitor. Hello all! I currently have an Asus Zephyrus S GX531 Gs. I currently have one. 512gb ssd. I plan on replacing it with a 1tb m.2 ssd, will I need to reinstall the operation system? I actually upgraded to Windows 10 pro a while back and wondering if I would have to re-purchase or enter the cd- key again? Thanks!

Hello all! I'm tied between the Corsair Crystal 570X White RGB or the Lian LI PC-001 Dynamic White. I understand they are different configurations, but which would be better? I like the way they both look, though here is the issue: Corsair: Doesn't support a 360mm radiator at the top. Would putting it on the front intake cause the case to run hot? I see a lot of people putting a 360 radiator in the front, I was worried about thermals. LI PC-001: Doesn't look as good and doesn't have the upgradability as the 570x. Can I get your thoughts? Some pros and cons of both cases? Edit: I will do future liquid cooling, but for the time sake, I will keep my aio. Thanks, Loch

I tried, they're closed until tomorrow. It has 8GBs soldered in and another 8GB stick available for a swap. Also, the M.2 is swappable.

Hello, I recently purchased an ROG Zephyrus S GX531GS-ah76 and I was wondering if it would void my warranty if I open the laptop up to upgrade the ram and ssd. I asked on the Asus ROG forums and no one has answered. Anyone got any info? PS, I live in the US in terms of warranty laws. Thanks!
