  1. Yeah but you can't use Folding@home to do unproductive things like war simulations.
  2. The problem is not entirely on MacOS memory allocation and paging. It's how every other app (looking at you chrome) eats up ram very quickly. Most Linuxes can run fine on a gig or two. Apple PR reasoning as someone who doesn't actually work in the hardware and software department should have been "we tested using our system using our included apps, google is clearly unreliable"
  3. Apple should stop selling in EU and we'll see who has the last laugh
  4. More importantly how will they approach modding and cheaters?
  5. I think the issue here is that it only has ray traced lightning so that's why the minimum specs are still so modern.
  6. The only good thing ChromeOS was good for was that it could run apks and deb without much fuss. Limit that and there's no point in getting a chromebook. You might as well buy Rasberry Pis and get the kids to build their own computer.
  7. AI anywhere either implies either a NPU designed for network use or low power for edge users (uncommon for Intel since this is mostly dominated by ARM-based smart devices). They must keep the power draw low if they want any competition.
  8. I'll let the reviews bite it first before making any decisions.
  9. I'll give it a week before someone from Eastern Europe makes a phishing site for every government page.
  10. It would be funny if Zuck had enough of the fines and just shut down their services there.
  11. Having previous architecture on a next generation model number is incredibly misleading. At least call it Zen4.5 or something
  12. I wonder if they fixed the thermal issues this time? M1 Macbook Air and M2 Mac Mini have poor thermal solutions and were prone to throttling. Also interesting time to post this as Qualcomm announced their Snapdragon XElite chip for laptops which does have a faster CPU performance to the M2 on the same wattage.
  13. Unfortunate, but I guess it's an easier way than software anti-cheat. Wonder would that break a lot of normal 3rd party controllers though?
  14. For long term use, is there good old driver if I don't care about ray tracing and AI?
  15. If I change the OS to another build like Lineage would it still get caught?
  16. Running the game on the Steam Deck should be a minimum requirement
  17. The real fun begins when you let it start boosting and the power draw breaks 1100W
