  1. Corsair Ironclaw I have gone through mouse after mouse before settling on this one. It is nice for larger hands, as its designed more for palm grippers and I really, really like it. I came from a Scimitar but wanted less buttons to accidentally press and since I don't play MMOs as much anymore the Ironclaw is basically perfect. I, personally, wish it had a third button on the side but its otherwise been a really nice mouse. I got it for about $50 at Best Buy, Amazon has it for $54.35 right now.
  2. You might have better luck looking for an older Xeon and a dual-socket board for that, because as far as I know there are no dual-socket Threadripper boards. Or, you could try looking at AMD's server offering, Epyc, which do support dual-socket configs. Its all down to how much you're willing to pay to be able to get as close to what you want as possible.
  3. iCUE doesn't detect any peripherals when connected via Bluetooth. The only way it will see them is if you use the dongle or the cable that came with it. I'm not entirely sure why this is - that would be a question for someone from Corsair.
  4. The G602 is probably my second favorite Logitech mouse after the MX Master. Because its battery powered, its a bit on the heavier side, but it feels just as good in my hand as the MX Master does. The other plus is that you can usually find it for about $40 or less. I often switch between the two on my laptop, MX Master for work and G602 for games. Plus, the battery life is pretty sweet because it has a performance mode and power-saving mode, and it puts itself to sleep if you leave it turned on but don't use it. I think I bought mine over a year ago and only just changed out the original batteries that came with it, but I also didn't use it every day, maybe once in a while. Which, if you're using one mouse for general stuff and that one only for gaming, you'll probably only be using it occasionally too.
  5. Corsair Dark Core - not exactly large, but not nearly as small and narrow as the G502. Three side buttons, plus two on the left click and one below the scroll wheel. Works via bluetooth, 2.4ghz dongle or USB cable. RGB and customizable af thanks to iCUE. Currently $59.99 on Amazon.
  6. It sounds plausible that the power outage might have damaged it in some way, and since you've tried replacing every other part except the motherboard then I would see if you can find another motherboard to test with. Another thing you might try is swapping the drives if you haven't already (I didn't see you mention that in your original post), there is always the slight chance that the drive might be failing and since its an SSD the symptoms are much different than a failing HDD.
  7. This is my desk. I bought it from Target a few years ago and I love it. Best part is I can see my keyboard through the desktop without having to pull the tray out if I don't want to. The only downside is glass is a pain to keep clean lol
  8. You say this PC was bought used. Did you ever use it previously or is this the first time you've tried turning it on since getting it? I had a client who initially came with a similar problem, but that computer ended up being like...Pandora's box lol
  9. You really can't go wrong with the Logitech wheel, honestly. I just got it for one of my friends for Christmas and he loves it, no problems with it so far either. If you keep an eye out you might be able to find it on sale, too.
  10. I have this same keyboard, but have not encountered this problem. Have you tried checking on the Corsair forums to see if there's a fix over there? That's usually my go-to when I have a problem with my Corsair stuff. I've gotten solutions for everything except one problem so far
  11. I've recently, apparently, started a mouse collection. I might start doing reviews of them too. Who knows. Anyway, I've been using the Corsair Dark Core with my laptop for the last year and its a great, lightweight, wireless mouse. It also has bluetooth in addition to the 2.4ghz dongle, and it can be used corded as well. It has three side buttons, two buttons on the top-left of the left click for DPI changes on the fly, and a profile switch button under the scroll wheel - total of 9 buttons in all. It can have up to 3 stored profiles, and it also comes with two right-side panels so you can change between flat on the right, or with a lip that's nearly identical to the thumb rest lip on the left side. The sensor is a max 16000 DPI optical sensor. The other nice thing about it, there are two versions - the one I have, is the base Dark Core. The Dark Core SE comes with QI wireless charging and Corsair makes a wireless charging mousepad, the MM1000. The only downsides to this combo, and why I personally didn't get it, is because the MM1000 doesn't have RGB (while the MM800 Polaris mousepad does, but no QI wireless charging) and the mouse only charges when sitting on a certain spot on the mouse pad rather than being charged while in use. But, its a nice mouse, and I'm certainly a fan of Corsair - I broke my Dark Core awhile back and they replaced it for me no questions asked. Good customer service is definitely a plus in my book especially with something that gets daily use like a mouse.
  12. I haven't had a chance to try out the Glaive yet, but I've been eyeballing it. Reviews I've read are mixed, and while I love the ability to change the side panels (one of the reasons why I love the Dark Core so much) it still just doesn't have the right button layout for me. Almost nothing I've found does. The Dark Core kind of does, but for my desktop I want a wired mouse, and the G502 is...well, I'm still testing it out, but it might still be too narrow for me. I'm happy with my keyboard, thankfully (Corsair K95 Platinum RGB) I'm not as picky about my keyboard since it was easy to find one that had what I wanted. Media keys, some macro keys, Cherry MX browns and lots of RGB. Easy peasy. I thought I was good with the Scimitar, but now I don't play MMOs anymore for various reasons, so the 12 side buttons are overkill. It was basically the perfect size, though, which is why I'm having such a hard time finding a new mouse - either not the right button layout, or not the right size - or too friggin' expensive for me right now.
  13. I have been mouse-hunting myself and partially out of curiosity and partially cause I love Corsair, I picked up the new Ironclaw. Its on the bigger side, its made for palm grip users which is why I wanted to give it a shot. It doesn't have enough buttons for me personally, though it has 7, but I'm coming from a Scimitar which oddly I now complain it has TOO MANY (17) buttons ? its lightweight at 105g, the optical sensor has a whopping 18,000 DPI, and it has programmable RGB and onboard profiles. Also the cable is braided and honestly it would probably be perfect for me if it had just a few more buttons in different places (I am also trying out the G502 which has the buttons right, but not the size, and the G602 would be perfect...if it weren't a battery-powered wireless....) But I can definitely recommend the Ironclaw, heck even the Scimitar is great its just...so many buttons...I got it when I used to play MMOs but I don't anymore, but if you want a bajillion buttons to do all the things, the Scimitar is awesome. Another Corsair mouse you might be interested in is the Dark Core, which is capable of both bluetooth wireless, 2.4ghz wireless through a dongle and comes with a cable, it has a similar size to the G602 and buttons more like the G502, but its very light. Also has two changeable side panels for the right side of the mouse so you have a little lip to rest your pinky on. I use it for my laptop because of the bluetooth. The Logitech MX Master is another, larger-sized mouse and while its not a gaming mouse its still a great mouse. It also has bluetooth and can connect to 3 computers without having to re-pair everything. I might even go so far as to say its my favorite mouse that I've used so far. And now I have realized I have too many mice. ...I'm starting a mouse collection.
