  1. But you told me to turn it off when using offset-mode ... when using offset-mode my total voltage would be 1.248v, if I use manual mode my total voltage would be 1.22v. I just dont like to use manual mode, since my voltage will never drop down and I get much better temps when using offset mode...Do you use manual mode? I just installed HWMonitor, I did not do anything specific
  2. If I turn it off my system will not boot, only in bios:/ strange what could be the problem? Should I lower the offset voltage?

  6. It is strange but somehow 0.02 makes the different :)! Yeah my temp are really god at idle i get about 25-28c and at load max about 74c. When using offset I even get better temps. I am only worried that HWInformation shows a much highet voltage under load than cpu-z ...and when using offset mode and playing games like rainbow six my temps never reach 40c which I am really glad for!
  7. Do you know why there is a different between the two softwares? It seems I could not get my system stable. I can boot at 1.2 but when running benchmarks after an hour I get BSOD. My system is stable at 1.22v or offset mode with -0.155 at 4.7ghz You must have better cpu than mine
  8. ...and I am back again guys I tried to play around with the offset settings and I can get my system stable and benchmark it with offset at -0.155. My max voltage is now 1.248v and temp 67c, Is this much better than before? I have not enabled c-state, should I do that what will the benefit? Thanks in advance guys you are helping me alot! I noticed that HWMONITOR and CPU-Z are showing different voltage for my CPU. Should I be worried that my max voltage i HWMONITOR is 1.4v and in CPU-Z 1.248v? Which one is correct?
  9. Nice guys seems I am good to go. I will try do some offset settings tomorrow and see if I can get something better out of it. I will be back soon I must admit that I am scared of delidding my CPU but hell I will like the good temps of a delidded processor! I also followed der8auer youtube but it seems he has a better CPU than mine...
  10. Hello folks! I have just received my Intel 8700k and Asus Maximus X Code. I'm more than happy with the stock speed of the processor. I have noticed that my stock VCORE is up to 1,329-1,349v, which I certainly think is far too high. It seems that "adaptive voltage" is not the easiest to work with if I want to overclock. I have tried to change my options with different settings, most of which have either resulted in an unstable system or too high voltage. I have therefore decided to go back to manual voltage and stick to stock frequency and have just tested the system for 4 hours without errors in either realbench and cinebench. I have in my bios changed the following: Enabled XMP VCORE - 1.22v VCCIO - 1.05v VCCSA - 1.10v Multicore Enhancement - Auto Core Ratio - Sync All Cores The rest in the bios is unchanged. When I tested the system in Cinebench I got the following data: Frequency - 4.7GHz VCORE - 1,248v (CPU-Z) Temp - max 74C When I tested the system in Realbench, I got the following data: Frequency - 4.7GHz VCORE - 1.232v (CPU-Z) Temp - max 73C When the system is idle my vcore is 1.216v and temp 28C. Before I made the changes (stock settings everything on auto), my CPU never exceeded 4400mhz in frequency and the temperature never exceeded 64c. The problem of having it all auto was that my vcore always was between 0.950v-1.349v. When I change the core ratio to sync all cores (getting 4.7GHz) and still leaves everything else on auto, my vcore increased to shocking 1.504v! I think therefore my new settings are much healthier and better for my CPU. My question is, will a vcore between 1.216v-1.248v be healthy for 24/7 use? What have you done to get lower voltages and better temps? Thanks in advance!
