  1. Interesting, that bios screen is confusing. Also if its running at 3200 why does cpu z show 1599? tks
  2. Have asus rog strix z370 e gaming corsair ddr4 3200 memory intel i7 8600k My bois says im running 3200 speed in one area and 2133 in a different area. How do I know if I'm really running in 3200? Tksd
  3. I removed my cooler from my old system and want to put on a new system. Of course I had to pull the back plate off the MB and now I don't have the adhesive pads. However I was reading in a couple places that they are not necessary. Can I get the cooler secure on the MB without those adhesive black pads? Tks
  4. Thanks guys but there is no way this is going to bend. Its covered in something that does not budge at all. Its sort of like a super hard thick rubber coating.
  5. So I can install it without the spacers? It will be tight enough? Thanks.
  6. I have only added the 1080ti , not even put on the new cpu and memory, and already the game runs much better.
  7. So as it turns out you cannot reuse the cooler on a new system. Reason being is the plat that goes on the back of the MB is held on with two black adhesive strips. Once you pull it off I don't know of a way to get new adhesive strips. I wish I had known this earlier.
  8. So you are saying with these I will be able to bend the cable down enough to get the case side cover on? These look preferable as they ship prime while it looks like the other ones ship from China. Tks
  9. Its 8 pin to 8 pin. I'm thinking it will work (?)
  10. Unfortunately you can't bend down the cables. What is standard Pcbs?
  11. The Evga thing could work but looks like it may still be too wide. I guess something like this could work? https://www.amazon.com/Degree-Right-Angle-Female-Inverted/dp/B0749C32X6
  12. Got a 1080 ti and because of the power cables I cannot put the side cover on. It does not clear by maybe one inch. Should I get a new case? If so which one? I just need a wider case, not necessarily a taller one. Thanks.
  13. Im talking about at idle. I don't do any video rendering or things that push the fans to the max. I've had 2 macs - a mac pro back from around 2005 and a 2015 or so mac book pro. Both are almost silent at idle. I've had countless windows based desktops ( built myself) as well as windows laptops ( some crap laptops and some higher end laptops) . At idle the windows machines I've had are noisy compared to the macs. This is just my own experience.
