I am an idiot, I was changing the Colour of background (whatever that does?) not Colour theme. Thanks for the response anyway.

Fully activated windows. Don't want to reinstall the whole thing and the repair didn't work. Unless the repair on their website is different to the cmd command?

pretty self explanatory. No errors; it ticks the colour box but doesn't change anything. I have tried following advice from other discussions elsewhere and a Microsoft support guy. Checked 'Services' to make sure 'Themes' and 'Desktop Window Manager Session Manager' were running, themes was but couldn't see the other anywhere (https://ccm.net/forum/affich-50432-cannot-change-the-colors-of-windows). The microsoft support just got me to run that CMD thing to check for corrupted/missing files to replace them. didn't work. Any advice would be appreciated, Cheers.

Helping a friend pick a monitor and we cant find the difference between the Samsung CJG50 ($419 AUD) CJG54 ($409 AUD) other then the Freesync support. Which is even more confusing because the 54 is $10 cheaper. Also open to monitor suggestions if you know these two are bad because i know specs aren't everything (which is why find picking these so annoying because I can't see and compare them before hand myself). I am in Australia looking on the PCCG website BTW if that matters.

Adding a CPU, MBO and RAM is a great idea. But i would highly recommend adding a SATA SSD. it raises your system overall speed and makes it feel much nicer.

Yes, i read the chart wrong and your are correct, the wright speeds are horrible.

As far as i understand it, speed is less the difference, it's more the endurance (most Sata SSDs saturate sata 3 so they are all maxed to 550 ish Mb/s). QLC lasts less time then TLC (which is what the EVO has). But even with the lower Write endurance it still likely to have plenty of life in it for your purpose. And i have had great experience with Samsung support for broken items even outside of warranty. yep restarted, drivers wiped and installed the amd graphics drivers only. i have tried OC on my CPU and ram clocks and that changed nothing i have no idea what to do, i don't want to have to deal with this until i upgrade my entire system which will probably be a year away.

i thought it fixed it but i went back in and it kept stuttering. could there be a bottleneck somewhere?

ohhhh so the nvidia drivers need to go completely.

I have suddenly had a stuttering problem with my new rx 580. Destiny 2 is by far the worst and GTA 5 is not great either. the GPU will momentarily drop in usage from 99% to 60% or lower (sometimes below 10%). i replaced my 960 two days ago and, it was fine the first night but last night it started bad. please help i don't want too have to go back to my 960. And yes my graphics driver is up to date.

i am helping my brother pick a new laptop and i need help as laptops isn't really my thing. he wants too use for entertainment when doing FIFO budget:800-1000 AUD (570-700 USD) needs to be 2 in 1 good 1080p display 8GB of ram would be nice 128 gb storage (needs to be SSD or similar) he is using it for movies, videos, internet browsing. usb type A would be nice note. he has been looking at chrome books are they are good option? i know they are very week in performance but i figured he doesn't need much anyway. thanks

word of warning do not use the clock speed as your base of comparison to different brand or generation CPU's,they are not comparable use benchmark comparisons.

i am looking for that icon. it is the same as the win+tab shortcut. i use the feature frequently i would like to have the icon back. i have no idea what it is officially called so searching for a solution is frustrating. i don't know where it went please help. Ps i just installed an ssd and migrated all my files so that might be the cause.

Ninja 4 cost is pretty high shipped, and i can't find any retailers that sell it here either, besides Ebay but thats about the same or more. i do want to do a little OC because the IPC of the FX chips is a not great. is the SR slim worth the extra $14 AUD?
