  1. Thanks! I think ASRock Desk Mini is pretty much what I'm looking for, although the Mac mini is tempting as well but I think I'll stick with windows. Just curious when do the RDNA2 APU cone out? worth waiting for?
  2. Budget (including currency): $1000ish Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: some light gaming, general use Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): prebuilt system Looking to buy a new computer to replace my 15+ year old core2quad with something small enough to fit on a desk like a Nuc or something. For general use like light gaming,,surfing, watching movies..etc. I thought I read AMD is coming out with new chips but don't know to much about it, anyone have any recommendation for best bang for your buck?
  3. I don't really care for the guy but I feel for his child, all the best to him.
  4. Whould there be enough room using an SFX power supply and a atx to sfx adapter bracket?
  5. Games will be optimized for 8 core 16 thread CPU's when next gen comes out. Both the PS5 and next Xbox will have them. Besides prices will fall for Ryzen 2 when 3000 series releases. Ryzen 2700 $209 Ryzen 5 3600 $199 $10 dollar difference.
  6. Nice build the only thing i I wanted a smaller more compact case that I can fit on my desk. Not sure how big the NZXT is?
  7. The thing is Ryzen 3000 series is out of my price range. You're probably looking at close to $450cad for the cheapest 8 core chip.
  8. I'm want to build a budget ITX build with about $1000ish, For games like Star Citizen, the new COD Modern Warfare and other FPS games. Basically For 1440p/1080p at mid to high settings. I was hoping to get some deals on Amazon prime days next month especially for Ryzen 2 when Ryzen 3000 releases. I was thinking something like.. Ryzen 2700/2700x 16Gb of 3200 memory MSI B450I GAMING PLUS (Good ITX motherboard?) CORSAIR SF Series SF450w (enough power?) 250gb/500gb SSD SilverStone Sugo SST-SG13B Vega 56/ Nvidia equivalent
  9. Thanks, I think I'll wait a little bit longer for the B450 and X470 chipsets like what SAzrocks recommends, maybe Ram prices will drop a little more. I want to build a small compact budget ITX build, something like this... Silverstong Sg13 case. (smaller cheaper case?) 8Gb's of DDR4 (maybe 16GB) AMD APU 2200g or 2400g sfx powersupply Corsair sf450? ITX motherboard.. B450 and X470 price? SSD or M.2 (I can still use my 120gb ssd vertex to save cost if I have to) hard drive to replace (my 2tb HD that just died)
  10. I'm thinking about building a new budget itx PC to replace my 10 year old system and was wondering if a new APU would be worth it? Currently running a Q6600, 4gb's of DDR2, HD3850 256mb video card, 120gb ocz ssd. I was thinking a 2200g to hold me over until prices com down, you think it would be better to wait and keep my current system for a while longer or go with an APU?
  11. Does anyone know why it would give me the blue screen error? even if my hard drive died would it be the reason it would give me that error... the dead hard drive wasn't my OS drive it was only for storage.
  12. So i tried to initialize "MBR" Crazy thing is I had the same thing happen a month ago with the blue screen where it kept resetting, when I checked the error code it said it was a gpu issue, i could get it to boot in safe mode but it never get the problem figured out. I ended up reinstalling windows 10 and the problem went away up unitl now.
  13. So I switched the cable from the other harddrive that was working and it still doesn't show up? It still has it listed in device manager and gives me the option to initialize it I don't have another computer to test it on.
  14. My computer was in sleep mode and when I went to wake it (moving mouse) nothing happened, so I hit power button to turn it on and it booted up but before it gets to desktop I would get a blue screen (can't remember error code) and it would keep rebooting until it gave more options...I forget what option I picked but now it works again but one of my hard drives isn't showing. When I check device manager it has it listed but it isn't showing on my computer. When I got to Device manager a dialog box pops up and says "You must initialize a disk before you can access it" "use the following partition style for the selected disk" then it gives me two options" MBR(master boot record) selected by default GPT (GUID partition table) Will initializing it cause me to loose all my data?
