  1. I would if I could, but I don't have any thermal paste left lol, I only got the 1gram cause I knew I was only gonna use it for the GPU and CPU - but yeah, maybe the pads aren't seated right, otherwise, I could rule it as a GPU issue, and see if I can't just get it replaced since technically, I still fall under warranty and I wouldn't know how they would know that I opened it to replace thermal paste, like as if they could tell different quality paste
  2. Another very interesting thing I ran into? is while trying to Benchmark my GPU using UserBenchmark's Software? Specific to the GPU testing for FPS? It crashes and says "ERROR: Sphere GPU benchmark failed, aborting further tests on this GPU" - both systems...
  3. Interesting.... Running the card, with the same Samsung 980 NVMe in another system still gives the same results...
  4. Actually, Running Custom Curve for my Fans cause again, Alienware's Software and it's pre-configuration is a Joke, usually a little under 50% for idle both Case and GPU fan via Afterburner, CPU generally under 50C and GPU under 40C while non-gaming, they stay about 60-68C around 60% Fan usage? if I crank GPU/Case Fans to a 100, I can push under 60C - I WAS super careful and took apart the 2080 Super to kill the default thermal paste and apply Thermal Grizzly for better performance, I am aware it voids warranty, yada yada, careful not scratching the PCB or getting paste anywhere else but the 2 pad points, yada yada - I did it with my GTX 1080 and it runs better than it did before so, but it was doing it even before I opened it, since day 1 EDIT: These are Max Temps with 100% Fan Usage while running Overwatch @ 170FPS on Ultra
  5. Alright, so I am SUPER confused on this, hehe get it - But in actuality, I can't figure out if my GPU is bad, My MOBO is Bad, if it's Undervolted (which it doesn't seem to be) if it's not OC'd right, or if It's just the game being... well, itself - I've done a LOT of Trouble Shooting, and I am at my wits end. I have a RTX 2080 Super, factory OC'd of course, from Alienware, (Yeah, yeah, prebuilts are overpriced an bad) and it happens a lot in applications and games, primarily games, but I noticed there's a DISTINCT flicker, since day 1, I don't think I have any Bottlenecks that would cause it to bug out like it is, Currently, I have a i9-10850K w/ an Corsair H60 Waterblock (OC Profile 2 for Alienware and Thermal Grizzly for Paste), with HyperX Fury RAM @ (That should run @) 3200MHz XMP Profile 2 (it's actually running @ 3192 MHz tCL 20 which it was 15 when I first bought it), 2 Samsung 850 Evo's SATA and a Western Digital 1TB @ 7200 RPM 64MB Cache (WDC WD10EZEX-75WN4A1) and as for my Main Drive, that would be a Samsung 980 NVMe 1TB, PSU is from Dell, @ 1000W, The MOBO is from Alienware, specific IPCML-SH Model, Z490 Chipset. The trouble shooting steps I have took has been. • Restarting the PC • Reinstalling NVIDA Drivers (default install) • Reinstalling NVIDIA Drivers (clean reinstall) • Reinstalling NVIDIA Drivers manually after using DDU in Safe Mode • Reinstalling/Reseating the card • Reseating the card multiple times • Trying different power cables • Trying the 2nd PCIe 16x slot w/ different cables • Reinstalling Windows 100% Fresh w/ New Drive • Configuring NVIDIA Settings + Game Settings I have not tried inserting it into a second Desktop yet, that would be an older model Alienware, an Alienware R6, and that's because I noticed if I UNDER Clock it using MSI Afterburner (Cause Alienware Command Center and it's OC Abilities are a joke and have broke almost 99.9% of the time I have EVER used it) - it would run just fine, I have to Underclock it by almost -300 which would set Core Clock to 1500MHz, WAY under base clock @ 1650MHz, and then it seems to stabilize, it happens in more than 1 game, and even on my Web Browser at times if I Alt-Tab while running anything GPU Intense, I have heard that it is an issue with specific games not being able to handle the hardware... but it does it outside of game too at times.
  6. I use uBlock Origin since it's actually quite lightweight on system performance an doesn't destroy my RAM with the 10, 15 tabs I normally have open. My recommendations are, Script Defender for Google Chrome, and if you use Firefox, use NoScript
  7. Thanks for the tips, I've been trying to use Kali on my main PC, AKA Win 10, however, since most of the commands ARE Unix/Linux (Like the make command); I've been having issues installing the necessary drivers an other stuff for it. I'll most likely be looking at an alternative network manager.
  8. I am trying to find the low dBi SSID's on my Windows Desktop which my Kali Linux is seeming to pick up, even with low dBi, Kali is able to still find it (as the picture shows below). But for some reason my Windows isn't picking up the low dBi Signals like I am in Kali Linux, I know Windows has some sort of control over that, but I don't know what exactly, would there be a way to disable the way Windows Controls the way of finding/searching for SSID's? I'm using 2 different network cards by ALFA, The AWUS036ACH and the AWUS036NHA, both are plugged into my USB 3.0 slots on the front, both using a 5dBi Antenna. And if it can't be disabled, Any recommended programs for that sorta thing? I know the ACH has the Realtek USB LAN Utility tool (which doesn't help much) but.
  9. It's been a while since I've been on here.

  10. I am currently trying to install a wireless adapter for Kali Linux Distro, that adapter being the ALFA AC1200 or AWUS036ACH. The problem is... while I did properly INSTALL the drivers, using the command apt install realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms in terminal, the problem relies with Kali Linux's Dependencies. When I do iwconfig or ifconfig The Wireless Adapter Card doesn't show, even after rebooting does it not show. The ONLY WAY, I have managed to get it to work, is by doing apt-get update && apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist-upgrade But the problem with that is... It's still extremely buggy and unreliable. If I try to manually make, and install the drivers for my Wireless Card, I usually get the error saying I am running on the newest version of Kali Linux, that being Kali 2018.3, Running I believe Kernal 4.17.0. These were my headers after I did apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist-upgrade: And this is before Can someone please tell me how I can install the dependencies, without waiting about 3 hours updating all my packages? I know it has to do something with headers, or packages, or something dependency wise. I can't figure it out for the life of me.
  11. Oh my god, I found the reason why. If anyone else has an issue with camera setting's and it not working? Make sure you have THESE Options enabled!
  12. Well, the good thing is, It works when I restart, at least it works. Just wish it did consistently. Thanks for trying though.
  13. Yup: http://prntscr.com/k4vmjp If I use WebcamToy.com before anything loads, it'll work, then when I load Skype, the tab crashes an refuses to work, I AM running on an old version of Skype, Version 7.40, because I despise the layout of new Skype.
  14. Alright well, I found out that my webcam stops working after I start Skype, But then when I kill the process with Task Manager, it stays not working
  15. Yeah, I could try that, the issue is, It'll say the camera is in use by another program? But won't actually explicitly say what program it's being used by, like a bug. Let me uninstall it and try it without the software.
