Are the old gens still good? (970, 980, 980 ti). If not, I could still afford a 1080, but would rather not waste my money.

Ok, so I guess my only question is, and this is in your opinion, is the 1080 worth it (price and performance) or do u recommend me getting something like a 1070)

Wow, thanks for all this information. Oh, and I should probably tell you the games I play. I play Dota 2, Overwatch, GTA V, PUBG, CSGO, LoL, WoW, and Fortnite. With all these games, whats a good gpu that could get high fps on 1080p (Possibly Ultra, most likely going to use high)

Yea, thats what got me tripping when people said 1060/RX 580 were top 1080p cards, but I look at benchmarks and in some games, they struggle with 60 fps. So the 1080 would max most games on 144Hz, 1080p?

Hey, So I am building a computer, which has an i7 8700k and Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4 3600MHz, but I cant choose a good graphics card for performance and is good for its price. What is a good graphics card for an Acer GN246HL (1920x1080 144Hz 1ms)?
