  1. Aruba is the only one I can really think of. Juniper is actually moving more towards Open Source, but we will see how that pans out.
  2. People ask why people care about Apple's bogus rules for fixing and ownership of a product people purchase, and this is why. Other companies see what they're doing and emulate it. https://www.ifixit.com/News/cisco-is-making-it-more-difficult-to-use-pre-owned-hardware
  3. Talk about copy pastaing. https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/43jdw9/this-youtuber-built-a-working-pc-out-of-pasta?utm_source=fark&utm_medium=website&utm_content=link&ICID=ref_fark Favorite quote in headline: “This has been a very long project that I’m mildly proud of,”
  4. Apple shared Qualcomm patents with Intel despite NDA. "All told, Apple stands accused of violating multiple Qualcomm patents due to a complex intermix regarding the use of Intel modems in their phones. Qualcomm’s case does not directly accuse the Intel modems of being infringing, but does claim that the resulting implementation in Apple’s phones violates those patents. Apple in turn pays royalties relating to these patents for phones using Qualcomm’s modems, but not on phones using the Intel modems." https://www.anandtech.com/show/13411/apple-patent-violation-no-import-ban
  5. German Security firm AV test put the top VPN providers to task. Hot-spot Shield comes in first, followed by PIA, then NordVPN. It's an interesting paper and has good info on procedures and conclusions.
  6. Title says it all. I got the Dark Base 700 for my new watercooling build and thermals are terrible. Case isn't very quiet if I have to run fans at full speed to keep thermals respectable, or have to run with front cover off because it's so choked. Been looking at the LL Alpha 550 because I can run 2x 360mm in it, but it looks like everywhere is pretty low on supply, wondering if they are going to drop a refresh soon. With PAX right around the corner I am hesitant to spring for another case of something will drop that bucks the trend of choking off airflow.
  7. If you've noticed LTT has had them on their channel before and references their findings. LTT spectre build beat them on the boards so they felt challenged. It's all in good fun.
  8. I'm redoing my loop a little bit in the near future, adding another rad, etc. I'm currently using the singularity computers D5 pump top and pump. The pump top only has one "out" port. My current drain port is just coming off of on of the in ports, I'd like to put in a splitter so that I can run my pump to help drain my system a little quicker instead of having to manually manipulate my case to drain fluid from certain areas. My question is this: are there T or Y fittings that have a ball valve to direct the fluid? I would think flow and head pressure would be lost going into the area that doesn't have an exit, and then creating resistance and ultimately pushing back against the flow. Or does it not matter? If anyone has seen a Y splutter with a valve can you please point me in the right direction. Thanks
