  1. Hello. I have a computer with a GTX 1660 super, and it has HDMI, DVI, and Display Port ports. I have the HDMI port connected to a monitor. I bought a DVI to Display Port cable, and connected the DVI part to the Graphics card, and the Display Port to the monitor, but now the monitor is not working. It says that the Display Port is inactive on the monitor, and I do not know how to fix it. Can someone please explain why this is happening? The monitor is also not detected on the Settings on Windows. Thanks.

  5. The program is installed in on my SSD Do i delete EVERYTHING that has to do with WSV3 and try to reinstall it?
  6. Hello. I have been using a program called WSv3 to check weather radars around the United States. During the time i've had this program, I accidentally changed my time and date settings. I reverted them back to normal, but whenever i try to open WSv3, I get an error message saying "Failed to start program. Failed because your time and date settings are incorrect. Fix your date and time settings, and restart your computer and try again". I/ve tried everything, I have synced my clock countless time, I've used Windows Powershell to uninstall and install W32 time, and I have turned on the option to sync time automatically. I tried every solution you could think of online. I still do not know how to fix this problem, and is giving me a big headache. Could someone please give me a fix for this?
  7. I don't know if you came here to flex or what? XD. It is a pretty good setup, but I would rather you have a higher end CPU with your GPU.
  8. Hello. One day, on July 30, I downloaded ThrottleStop to undervolt my CPU. I undervolted it too much, and my laptop crashed. I opened my laptop to find out all my browsers except Google were gone, but all my history and Gmail information was gone from google. I'm like "Ok, I can just put back everything to how it was before." So 2 weeks later, I restarted my laptop. EVERYTHING i downloaded in that 2 week time period was gone, and all my downloaded things (On and before July 30) was moved into the Download section of my Users file in C:. Everything resetted to how it was on July 30, and my browser history was gone, etc. I do not know how to fix this, and have tried various methods (reinstalling Windows Updates, putting my voltage to normal capacity.) How do I fix this? This is a really annoying bug and really makes me wanna break my keyboard or mouse. Someone help please? (Also, everything from My desktop is removed, my Background turns into the Normal windows 10 background, but my passwords stay the same.) Edit: This happens after every single restart. I tested it by download some other things, then restarting my laptop, and then they are also deleted.
  9. But with HP Omen's Crappy software, I can't put my fans to my preferred speed. I can only put 3 settings. Cool, default, and Performace.
  10. Thank you for the response. I also used Arctic MX-4 thermal paste, the one with the 8 year guarantee. I am sure that applied pressure to the thermal paste. I have looked up before, and people say that they are experiencing the same temperatures, but there are no fixes yet. I came here hoping for a fix, though.
  11. I say go for the HP Envy. I've had a lot of experience with Acer Laptops and I can tell you that they are garbage. They barely last me more than a year. Right now I am using my HP Omen that I have had for a year. I've had HP laptops in the past, and they are very durable.
  12. Hello. I've been getting extremely high temperatures on my HP Omen laptop, with a GTX 1060 and an i7-8750h, even after reapplying the thermal paste. In game, I get 97 Celsius on my CPU and around 90 Celsius on my GPU, and this causes really low fps. I added the thermal paste around 16 hours ago. I thought the thermal paste would help, but apparently it didn't make a difference. Someone help please.
  13. I tried that, but it didnt work. My fps still goes down to 20-30.
  14. It's a laptop, not a desktop. Should I remove the cover and dust it?
  15. Hello. I have an HP Omen with an i7-8750H and a GTX 1060, and in some games, my fps goes from 120 to 30 fps, with my fans at max. I've tried every method online, and I could not fix it. Please help, I'm getting depression. The temp goes to 97 centigrade for the CPU and 91 Centigrade for the gpu. How do I fix the fps drops as well as the thermal throttling?
  16. IDK about throttling, but I will check for dust in my fans. My CPU temperature goes up to 97 Centigrade, and the GPU goes to 91 Centigrade. So,yeah, i guess its throttling.
  17. Low settings, on 1080p. I always play fortnite on low settings.
