I'm 17 and I'm from India.
(Before you think I'm asking for free stuff, I'm not. I just really need help. Please Read on)
For the longest time I've wanted to get into gaming, but the only system I have is a 9 year old laptop with Intel HD graphics and 4gb Ram. The only gaming that I've ever gotten to do is at a gaming lounge around 20 kms away from my house and that too is not very affordable.
I am going into college this year and was hell bent on getting a Gaming laptop. My dad said he'll pay half the price upto 500 dollars. So I decided to combine it with the 500 dollars I saved up for years and started looking for gaming laptops around the 1000 dollar mark. I found the Acer predator helios 300 a few months back. When I checked the prices in all the online retailer sites the price was twice as much ($ 2000) and I just don't have that kind of money. And moreover I don't want to pay twice as much for practically nothing.
So waited for 2 months for a sale on one of the sites (Flipkart Republic Day sale Jan 26th) where they advertised upto 80% discounts on laptops. I was extremely excited and was sure that even If I got a 50% discount I would be able to finally buy this beast. But they only gave me a 13% discount.
I just don't have that kind of money, and even a 1000 dollars is a huge sum for me. And I just can't ask my dad as well.
This is where I need help. Is there any way I can get my hands on one at a 1000 dollars in India.
I don't want to waste my money by buying something mediocre when such a good laptop is available and If I don't actually find a way to get this at around 1000 dollars I'm going to have to buy something way worse.
