So i need a new board, thats what i was thinking, now before i buy how does the "MSI Pro Series Intel B250 LGA 1151 DDR4 USB 3.1 micro-ATX Motherboard (B250M PRO-VD)" sound with what i already have? i still have the 1x8gb stick of crucial ram that i would much prefer to use but i also have a 2x4gb kit of gskill ripjaw if the other wont work

Well i bought this mobo over 2 years ago (parents) along side the ram and gpu which i have used in my current system and i just recently got the cpu and reading on it, it said b150 was compatible with Kaby lake so i didnt think much of it.

Theres my problem cant do either

If its not updated how do i update it?

Ok so ive posted here before about this but ive done what some people said and im back. Im building a new system I have a msi b150m pro vhl mobo with a i3 7100 installed gpu doesn't matter but i first tried using a single stick of Crucial ballistix 1x8gb at 2400mhz, it didnt work. I then got another stick that was on msi's compatible list 1x8gb didnt work and now i have a kit of g-skill ripjaws 2400mhz 2x4gb ram and thats also certified compatible but its not working either. All three turned on and lit the onboard debug led for a good 3 or 4 seconds then it turned off and the computer sat there never posting. Testing the LED with no ram it stays on as long as the system is on. Ive spent $300 trying to fix this problem if anyone can help please help.

Ok well thanks mate im looking into other ram options right now (even though prices suck) But thanks anyways

When i try to boot up the mobo dimm debugging light turns on for around a minuet then turns off and the pc never posts

Ok so someone help me I have a MSI B150m pro-vhl mobo with a i3 7100 and a gtx 1050 ssc thats all well but my problem is my ram. I bought a single stick of Crucial Ballistix 8gb 2400 ddr4 ram, well apparently this stick of ram doesnt work with this board idk why but ive look all over for compatible ram and cant find any for this board and i cant find a board compatible with this ram so someone please help.
