  1. @Slick I wanted to piggy back on @GunGuy143 super helpful info. I had the same error on my Pixel 2 XL. I spent months trouble shooting but it ended up being the screen almost imperceptibly peeling off the frame. All I did was re-glue my screen down again and it worked fine after that. GunGuy is right the proximity sensor is just right under the screen so if the screen moves outward or it breaks this error happens. Sorry I am late to the party have been catching up on WAN shows.
  2. Ended up being my RAM slots. I originally had sticks in B1 + A1 swapped to B2 + A2 and now it works perfectly. I can recreate the problem my swapping the sticks back to B1 + A1.
  3. Ya unfortunately, its a hard rest now without a BSOD so there is no dump to look at. I was stupid and forgot to save it from the earlier OS's
  4. Specs Windows 10 home 8086K 32Gb Trident-Z RAM 3200 Strix Z370-E 1080 Ti 970 EVO 1Tb 8Tb Red Drive So here is my issue. Couple months back I started getting critical process died errors when using/playing COD MW, Overwatch & Adobe Premier. #1 - Re-installed my OS on the 860 EVO 1Tb I had. (Same issues as above) #2 - Swapped M.2 slots (Same issues as above) #3 - Installed an OS on my 8Tb Red Drive (No Issues) #4 - RMA the 860 EVO and install OS on new drive (Same issues as above) #5 - Bought a 970 EVO since I was planning on upgrading my wife's laptop with a bigger drive. Now on the 970 EVO Overwatch & Premeir seam to work but COD MW now hard resets the computer (no error just shuts off). Although the first time COD crashed it BSOD with a Critical Process Died. Still untested Issues: Motherboard issues RAM issues CPU issues PSU issues It's weird that the OS on my SATA Red drive seams to be working fine? What do you think?
  5. So I am looking at some new hard line compression fittings. I made the mistake of using the Monsoon 1/2" ID, 5/8" OD Free Center Hardline Compression Fittings. Which use collars that you glue on the tubing and clamp down on. I am looking for hard tubing fittings that compress down on the outside of the tube. #1 allowing me a little more wiggle room on length variation. #2 eliminating the glue issue. Right now tooling at EK or Barrow fittings but trying to learn from peoples experience.
  6. Awesome thank you so much for the help! Will be playing around with this for the next couple weeks and will report back
  7. So here is my question. I would like to back up my data-off site. Want to set and forget it. The two options I see are: #1 – Setup two FTP servers one at my house an another at my parents house. Each server about $400 for 8Tb so lets say $800 + $10 per month to run them if they draw 70ish watts each. Seams like a lot of money but that’s a lot of space and I control my data. #2 – Use AWS, Google Drive, Backblaze. I don’t need to access this data regularly just if my house burns down or something crazy like that. Requirements: 3 Desktops 5 Laptops 7 users 4Tb Total Est It would be nice to back up the 7 phones as well but that’s not a huge deal. What do you guys do or recommend?
  8. Awesome thanks. Ya everything that's super important is backed up on Google Drive
  9. Trying to figure out a safer way to store photos and old crap I just cant bring myself to delete. Have 2x 8Tb Barracuda drives. Is the W10 raid setup in admin tools the best way (mirror)? Is there a better way / should I trust windows?
  10. Hey guys, I know that you have been doing less phone reviews. Thought maybe a review of Fairphone 3 might be nice. Think is drops in a month or so. https://shop.fairphone.com/en/?ref=header
  11. Well its finally done.... For now.... Thank you everyone on the forums for your help and @LinusTech for the build inspiration and for signing my wafer at LTX. Was able to get the entire LTT team, Gamers Nexus, JaysTwoCents, BitWit, Pauls Hardware and Der8auer!
  12. Don't know anyone going to LTX. Would love to put together a team 4-5 people to play LAN games with. I'll put together a Discord and maybe we can play a couple games together. When an official game list comes out we can practice a little bit ?
  13. I can rent a car I'm going to the same office tour. Anyone else interested in a ride?
  14. It's probably the difference between megabits and megabytes. Your download speed should be 1/8 of the speed. So a ISP at 100 Mbps (megabits per second) will download a files at 100/8 = 12.5Mb/s
