At least i'm not the only one interested in the Notebook Pro. I would be thankful if you share your experience with the Notebook. The Notebook Pro with the i5 was available for 770 usd final price, therefore the best price-performance ratio i have ever seen. Are you in my opinion in that?

Any 14" would just be fine and i know that my price is set very low, anyway i found one thats close to my specs: Acer Aspire 5 A515-51G (currently available for ~780 usd) However i am not buying this one because the body is just too cheap and thick but performancewise it is similiar to the Xiaomi Notebook Pro, wich would be my preferred choice.

Ok this are pretty good recommendations, but none of the named notebooks is a good alternative.. Either way the price is nearly twice as much as the xiaomi one or there are missing components. Any other ideas? -
I would use it for CAD and CAM software, surfing with approx 10 tabs open, virtual machines etc. I am also planning to use linux and eventually suse on that device. FHD is preferred because of resolution problems with 3rd party software ( and software thats not well designed etc. therefore a better compatibility with this kind of software)

Hello, i am looking for Xiaomi Notebook Pro alternatives, meaning the same specs or at least similar ones. Price range should be about 1100 cad or 860 usd. Please note, that the battery runtime is essential and so is the 8th gen intel cpu. Dedicated GPU, Precision Trackpad, Alloy/ Magnesium body and a NVMe SSD are required as well. I would be surprised if you know any device with a similar price tag. Kind regards

Ok thats a neat device, but still no Alloy Unibody and no NVMe SSD with read rates about 3000mb/s. Additionally this device is priced at 1200€ or 1500 usd or 1866 cad here in Germany. Anyway thanks for the reply.

Hello, i am planning to buy a new Laptop / Ultrabook. I actually have a pretty precise imagination what my needs are. -Intel Core i5 8250u or better -Nvidia MX150 or better -15" FHD -NVME SSD + Expansion Slot-Precision Trackpad -Alloy / Magnesium Body with max height of 15mm or so -Fingerprint reader-9 to 12 hrs of Battery runtime (confirmed, not what the specs say)-USB C and maybe Thunderbolt And the Price Tag should not be above 1300 CAD or between 800 and 900 USD I would be surprised if anyone has a good suggestion and if anyone thinks this kind of device is not existing or at least not available for that price, i am more than pleased to tell you there actually is.
