  1. Hello, recently a relative has given me a computer to fix but I'm running out of options here. When I received the PC it didn't turn on, so I think the old PSU broke because I replaced the PSU and it turns on but doesn't show any video. The problem is simple. Everything runs well, but the video doesn't show at all, no BIOS, nothing, only shows No Connection on the monitor. Motherboard doesn't beep either, all the fans spin and stuff. PC Specs: Some random ASUS AM2 socket motherboard Some AMD Athlon X2 at 3.1 GHz Nvidia GeForce 9600GT Random PSU I switched Kingston HyperX Blu DDR2 2 * 1 GB sticks. Random ass HDD. Here's what I've tried: Replacing the PSU (Which made the PC turn on at all). Replacing GPU with 2 other ones (which work on other PCs). Reseating RAM sticks, trying to boot with only 1 RAM stick. Changing out the HDD. Reseat CMOS battery (even replacing it). Used different cables, HDMI and VGA (both with adapters). So what are your suggestions for this? Could it be that the PSU failure fried a part of the motherboard which powers PCI-E? The GPU fans spin, though. Thanks in advance!
  2. Well maybe on the lowest settings, I have 750M which is one tier lower than 755M and it cannot run GTA V at all.
  3. But no newer games than 2014. No Witcher 3, no GTA V, no AC Unity. I play only Indie games on my laptop, which I've got in my Humble Bundles.
  4. yes. with i5 4200U CPU. Not thermal throttling. It runs something like CS GO great but forget AAA titles and newest games. and if you're going to college you shouldn't really game hardcore. play some occasional indie game.
  5. my laptop with 750M doesn't even run GTA V on minimal settings 800x600.
  6. I have the same problem with my laptop, it takes 10 minutes to boot up, 5 minutes to turn on chrome after booting. It's probably broken. The speeds also couldn't exceed 3 mb/s copying files. And I have i5 4200U and GT750M GPU on that laptop which isn't the cheapest one out there.
  7. You know, I think I found what the problem is. Here's the screenshot for the past 2 wake ups: How do I fix this one?
  8. Yeah, those are called pawn shops. Used phones.
  9. Firewall is on, yes. I have only MalwareBytes and Windows Defender. No VPN software.
  10. Yeah, who sells unlocked iPhone 6 for 220$ that's not stolen or something. Use your logic, would anyone in this world buy a phone for 600$ and sell it for 220$ without using it for no apparent reason?
  11. Moto X Play, LG G3 (might be a bit over 300$), LG G2 (it's a bit old though), Sony Xperia Z2 (same problem as the G2), LG G Flex 2 (if you don't game on your phone).
  12. I forgot to mention that I did do the first two things. I haven't made any changes to BIOS, I've tried looking for Wake On Lan option, but I can't find that option there. I have MSI Z97 PC Mate motherboard.
  13. I disabled all devices that can wake the PC up, it still wakes up by an "Unknown" something in Event Viewer. What to do now? How can I find BIOS setting in Z97 PC Mate motherboard BIOS, can't find the option.
  14. Nope, I disabled all devices that can wake the PC up, it still wakes up by an "Unknown" something in Event Viewer.
  15. How can I return it in Latvia? I bought from internet shop 400 km away from me, you can't return anything, only if it's broken. But it really isn't, it works fine, it just probably would be better with drivers.
  16. You were in my situation. What would you do? I'm using the drivers Windows installed for me, some generic audio ones.
  17. The thing is, there are no such option. I am running driverless because there are no Corsair HS40 headphone drivers available for Windows 10. Where else can I look to enable it?
  18. Hmm, it only shows me HID Keyboard and HID Mouse. I've already tried plugging the mouse out when I was going away for a few hours. Will try it now with both of them disabled to wake up from sleep in the device manager. Any idea of the huge amounts of Network Adapters I have? Are they bad or what? The only thing I noticed is that when I turn the PC on, at first the internet doesn't work, it's identifying the fake Adapters until it reaches the real one and it starts working.
  19. Hello, recently I bought a nice gaming headset Corsair HS40 for 40€. It works ok but I have few problems with it. First of all, the volume is way too loud. I'm currently listening on 1 from 100 and I still have to bring down volume in the program I'm listening from. I was wondering if there's a way to decrease the over volume? I've tried using the built in equalizer in Windows settings but it doesn't seem to work. Secondly, how do I get the software to work on Windows 10? I've downloaded the drivers but they don't work on Windows 10. Am I missing out on a lot without the Corsair software? Like 7.1 surround? Thirdly, is there any way to activate the noise cancellation on the microphone which is built in? It seems to pick up my PC sound even though I can *barely* hear it. And lastly, how can I easily switch between Analog 3.5mm speakers and my USB headset? It's taking way too long to go to Volume settings > Playback devices and set them default accordingly. Thanks in advance!
  20. Hello, recently I've started receiving the problem of my computer waking up from sleep and hibernation at random times. I've noticed that whenever I boot on Windows, I have huge amounts of Network Adapters in my device manager. Here's the screenshot: So I'm starting to think (and others on this forum) that the fault for waking up while in sleep mode is a network problem. Here are the screenshots from event viewer right after the PC woke up from sleep. So far I've tried plugging out the Ethernet cable when going to sleep - still woke up. I uninstalled the network adapters - still woke up (they add 1 fake adapter on every reboot). Also disabled the Wake from sleep in Device Manager - still doesn't work. I've tried looking in BIOS for an option, but there were none. I use Z97 PC Mate motherboard. What are my options here? What could be the problem? I haven't installed any Hamachi-like programs on my computer. Recent Windows 10 clean install, no viruses. Thanks in advance!
  21. Ok, I've tried to uninstalling all the network adapters, they seem to be only 3 after reboot but it's still waking up from sleep. I also can't find any Wake on LAN or WOL on BIOS. I'm using MSI Z97 PC-Mate. I'll try to post my problem to the networking section.
  22. I did things that Rune suggested, they didn't work. Will try the things you suggested but are you sure nothing will happen? What are these many adapters I have?
