  1. Lol. I just learned the Hisense U8K does 1080p at 240Hz with proper input lag. So I might end up going with another, larger TV.
  2. Yeah, I actually still have the problem. I did not realize that the TCL doesn't have great 1080p 240 Hz performance so I cancelled the order. Which I guess worked out as I just had to buy a new set of tires. But I did learn something. The old TV will turn on both sets, but the new remote only turns on the new one. So that's something I guess.
  3. Thank you for everyone's suggestions. I have solved the problem by buying a bigger TCL QM8 65". Gonna give my Samsung Q80T 55" to my sister.
  4. Thank you. I have a Roku and thought about using that, but I'm worried the Roku won't be as good as the S95B's onboard apps. Something like a receiver is out of the question and I have a sound bar, but I don't know how using that would help here. Could you explain?
  5. Hello, Sorry I have a first-world problem. I have a Samsung Q80T and a Samsung S95B next to each other and their remotes will often control the other TV. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop this? The biggest issue is with using the power button. Sometimes I want one on with the other off. I use the S95B to watch TV/movies and the Q80T as a PC monitor. I have the regular remotes for both TVs and a "regular" Samsung remote I bought to try and prevent this. I have also blocked what I think is the IR port on the Q80T, but the remote crosstalk still happens with all three remotes. Thank you.
  6. Ahhhh, sweet. Thank you. Checking now. edit: It's not on any of my Google accounts so now it's time to report my debit card Lost/Stolen. And fingers crossed I don't get that ugly Mystery Driver Linus made in the video.
  7. Hello, On Sunday I ordered a Mystery Driver from the YouTube video link (super excited to get it) which I paid for through PayPal (that bills to a credit card and I have verified the full charge is on that credit card). And while checking my bank statement I see a charge from YouTube on the same day that came through on my debit card as GOOGLE *YouTube for $11.90 USD (only correlation is the day of the transactions). I cannot see any reason to have a questionable YouTube transaction on the same day as my Mystery Driver purchase and I cannot find a way to check my YouTube account for any "purchases" beyond Purchases and memberships under my account. I'm going to dispute this charge regardless, but I'm puzzled about this charge and that bothers me. Anyone have any ideas?
  8. For a while I appreciated their more in-depth videos, but now they just seem gleeful to try to find something negative to post about. Others present negative things in a more matter-of-fact manner and that I appreciate, but Gamers Nexus seems so much more happy to have found something wrong than to simply report something wrong. I once posted something on a video Gamers Nexus responded to that was meant to express my disappointment in the tone of their videos and their response spoke volumes and today their post solidified my opinion of their desired direction. Gamers Nexus now feels like the complaints people have about gamers in general. The opinion that too many gamers will thanklessly accept all of the "expected" offerings that companies will provide, but then boisterously condemn anything they feel spurns them. And enjoy complaining more than the satisfaction of a product well made. It's disappointing.
  9. @OhioYJ Thank you for your response. Something fun I just saw . . . APC seems to have reduced the max wattage in the the title of the UPS from 900W to 865W on their site. Other sellers (and several places on the APC site) still show it as 900W. I wonder why they did that.
  10. Does anyone know if the APC Back-UPS Pro BR1500MS2 outputs sine though only the battery+surge outlets or is it through all of its outlets? thank you.
  11. What is winRE? And HWiNFO is the only thing that runs at startup.
  12. @Bombastinator Welp it didn't fix it. Back to the drawing board. I think it might be re-starts after I've used the PC for gaming. I'll test that theory soon.
  13. Thanks for pointing me in that direction. I have updated HWiNFO (it was the only open window on start up) and so far so good.
  14. After switching to my 3080 I have found that my desktop icons are frequently the wrong size (too small) on Windows start. The HWiNFO window is oddly sized and oddly scaled as well. I fix it by logging out and back in, but it's starting to annoy. Anyone have any ideas? I've already tried DDU and several iterations of Nvidia drivers, but without luck. Also, no settings are changed when this happens. Thanks guys. PS My display is a Samsung Q80T. The resolution is set to 4k 120Hz under the PC section and not the Ultra HD, HD, SD section.
  15. It's not the standard 24-pin, but I haven't looked for an extension for the PSU's pin-out so maybe I should.
  16. Hello all. I'd like to move my Plex server into a different case that will allow for more HDDs to be installed into. My current little Lenovo server is in one of those smaller, standard sized pre-built cases where the PSU is installed at the top of the case and has short-ish cables. And I think that is what will be the limiting factor in finding a new case to use as I want to keep all of the same hardware (with its shorter cabling). Does anyone know of a case where the PSU is installed at the top with lots of HDD storage (6+)?
  17. That's a good idea. I'll have to find how to email them. And precisely right. I don't want this return to end up in the hands of someone else. Oof. I did order from Amazon again, but not from Amazon Warehouse. I'm curious to see how my second order of the EVGA 1000 G6 works out.
  18. The PSU in the box literally states on it what it is. And that doesn't match the box it's in. You don't need to be anything but literate to inspect that return. And I wanted to speak with a supervisor because the person I was speaking to failed to understand my request. That request being a remark on my account explaining my situation so that I wouldn't be blamed for the return of a different item. And I understand why they didn't post my review, but my attempt to warn people does make sense as Amazon Warehouse fails to properly inspect the returns they receive. So ordering from Amazon Warehouse may be unreliable.
  19. So I initially ordered an EVGA 1000 G6, but when the delivery date got pushed back I ordered a "Like New" EVGA 1000 P6 from Amazon Warehouse that would be delivered next day. I didn't immediately cancel my other order for the G6 as I wanted to get the P6 before I did. Well the delivery was actually next day which was great, but someone had returned an EVGA 850 GQ in the EVGA 1000 P6 box. And Amazon didn't inspect the return to catch that. So while that is terrible it also makes me question whether Amazon Warehouse's item descriptions are actually accurate. So when I discovered the swapped out product I contacted Amazon immediately. The rep on the phone failed to understand what I was saying when I tried to tell them the item I received was swapped out by a previous customer. I wanted it noted so that I wouldn't be blamed when I sent the item back. And after asking for a supervisor there was initial push-back until eventually they told me I would receive a call back from a supervisor. I did not receive that call back. Needing to make others aware of the risk when ordering from Amazon Warehouse I used a product review to share my experience. I only spoke about my experience and not the product so an Amazon Moderator didn't allow my review. Which I kind of get, but I believe the warning to others about my experience made sense in the product review as it spoke to what may happen when ordering that particular item. Well after I received the message that my product review wouldn't be posted I also received a message that my EVGA 1000 G6 was arriving early and then changed to undeliverable. Coincidence or a weird form of retribution? I don't know, but it's suspicious. I have since placed another order for the EVGA 1000 G6 and we'll see if that actually happens. This whole experience has soured me to buying electronics from Amazon Warehouse.
  20. Well I did a DDU but no joy. One thing is I remember adding 1440p 120Hz to Custom Resolutions, but now I can't because it's listed under PC in Nvidia Control Panel so perhaps that's why it was able to switch to that resolution when I started games? Though the fact CS:GO will trigger the switch (but with no Game Mode) is curious. Other games will switch the TV to Game Mode, but not switch the TV's resolution. Now I think it was the custom resolution I was able to add before that I can't now because it exists in the PC resolution list.
  21. From what I've been reading this may be a Windows bug and I may not have noticed that the 1070ti was doing the same thing. And I'm too lazy to plug the 1070ti back in to check. Maybe when my new PSU comes in I'll check the 1070ti.
  22. Yes, they are different. Active stays 4k while Desktop Display goes to 1440p.
