  1. PC Cases need to get their shit together when it comes to Mid Tower vs Full Tower

Why is a "mid tower" Larger volume wise than a Full tower? I know we have loose definitions of Mid tower but this is ridiculous!!! (be quiet!, esplain, why u no "full towah")??

    For an additional reference:

This Full tower is just under 70L of Volume....

Dark Base 900 is 38mm longer, 39mm thinner, and 33mm taller than the silent base 801. So you wouldn't think the volume would be that way, but alas it is. Either way the Dark Base is longer and taller, but also thinner than the 801.

Either way the total volume different is 2.25% so not crazy.

All that aside the Length and height are much more important when you are talking about adding things like a radiator. The width is only important if you are talking about adding a big air cooler. So when it comes to usable dimensions I think the 900 is overall better.

  3. Lol, called to activate my new Chase College Debit card and the automated system was saying that I didn't have enough digits (16 numbers is 16 numbers, can't really be too short or too high) and then on top of that after I was on the line with a rep who got it all sorted out I had to use the automated system again to verify my pin, only the automated system could not verify my pin either! Lucky for me they have other ways of verifying who I am and I was able to get the card activated.

I wouldn't have suggested a chase account anyways. There are plenty of free checking accounts out there just need to look around. Then again if no fee's for 5 years that isn't bad TBH.

Those cards are god awful. If you read the terms they will hit you with fee's to keep your money on them. I always had mine just direct deposited in to an account. Anyways hope it all works out, maybe they have gotten better than the ones when I was in school.

Are you going to transplant the HP stuff in it?  If so the OEM stuff can sometimes yell at you for it. It will still work, but you might have to hit f1 at every boot.

That is because they are super effective. Your end user is always the weakest link in any security plan. So if you can just target them then you are more likely to succeed for minimal effort. A good spear phish can be one of the biggest threats.

Just one user with credential and in they come... then they mimikatz to enumerate accounts and just pivot all over your network. That is why having 3 factor authentication is so important. Too bad a lot of companies implement their soft tokens in a way that make them useless.

I try to find ways to get humor out of these people. Just today I had a user get a fake AV popup from a webpage telling them they had a virus and to call this random number from Microsoft. They put in a incident ticket over it and it was literally just a browser popup. Anyways to make it more interesting I decided to call the number.

If you want to make your day fun, just call one of them and pretend to be the worst end user you have ever dealt with.

  14. Why is the average forum user so uneducated on topics that interest them. We are in an age where information is available in a seconds notice and we carry around vast knowledge in our pockets. So I just don't understand the lack of personal mental growth that I see everywhere.

I read an interesting article about how education is slowly changing. They are predicting that in the next generation school will consist of teaching you mathematics, language, how to manage your mental health, how to manage your finances, and lastly how to communicate/socialize with others.

They are saying that since information is so readily available there is little reason for it to continue to be a subject in school. I see the point in some of this, but I also feel that so much has already been lost. Hell, they don't even teach the multiplication table in a lot of schools now and are instead using common core math.

Have you ever been to a store when the register is broken? Try giving a young waitress cash for your bill. We are becoming smarter on the technical level, but common knowledge is going down hill on a personal level.
