I really do like how idealistic you are. I wish I could be this optimistic about the possiblilty of a world like that.
The problem we have is that not every opinion has value, not every opinion is constructive. It is very easy to complain about problems, but very hard to implement solutions, especially where you are trying to make everyone happy (treat every opinion with equal value).
Knowlage loses its power the more that it is known, the power comes from knowing things that are not widely understood.

Your points are also enabling a double-edged sword. You are trying to limit the rights of companies to express their opinion by limiting conflicting ideals on their platforms, is that not in itself limitation of free speech? What you are asking is that they run their products (because that is what they really are) without any pre-existing notions/bias/beliefs to enable others to to express their bias or beliefs? A company is not some robot that just burst into existance, it consists of people with their own free will.

These companies only exist because driven individuals are striving to complete. That in itself is a point of conflict as it creates a winner and loser.

If you believe their should be a platform to allow true freedom of speech, why don't you create it?
How would you fund it? What would you do if it was missued? Would you allow content that you did not agree with?

Even at a basic level when people are given a open forum, not a lot of good things come from it (the chans).
People also have a habbit of forming and expressing an opinion without enough information to create an actual informed opinion. The internet does not resolve the problem where people circulate their opinion within like-minded others. This in itself does not appear so bad, but curcular discussion cements ideas without allowing other outside influences to come into effect. The result is circle-jerks that extend from "PCMR. CONSOLES SUCK!!!", all the way to white supremicists and r/incels.

People are just sort of screwed up. A lot of inherit behaviours work against cecular society and I am not convinced that non-constrictive opinion that incites hate should be allowed? (In Googles defence) it is just one hell of a job to decide what crosses that line, especially with the amount of content that is uploaded.

GrayFox1991 got a reaction from Denis Rakhmanov in How can I install Ubuntu alongside Windows?
It is way easier to just create the partition on the 500GB HDD in windows, then run your Linux install, and select that new partition. After that it will set GRUB for boot, and will list Windows as a boot option. Set your boot drive as the one with Linux on it (and so GRUB), you can then edit the boot order in GRUB, so any timeout falls to Windows, but can select Linux from there.

EDIT: Also depending on your reasons for needing access to Linux, you could just either run up a VM in Windows or use BASH for Windows (I use the latter).

This basically sums it up. Either you are smart enough to manage/dev your distros and get use of some of the more powerful hardware in the Asus. Or you have some project where you want most of the legwork to already be done, and you get a Pi

So taking a look, would really not recommend spending that much on a mobo. There are nice ones out there that are not going to cost $300+

You could get an m.2 drive over a standard SATA one (cost basically the same, but just look a bit nicer in my opinion)

I have a WD black in my current system, and it makes far too much noise, it is about the only thing in my PC that you can hear most the time, I am already tempted to try to swap it out.

Where you save money on the mobo, upgrade to a Ti? Only am recommending that as I am running a 1440p monitor, and my GTX1080 is pushing 50-70 on most of the latest titles when maxXxed out settings. To get over this I currently use a g-sync monitor. If you are set on 4K (which at 28" I can't really say is worth it. Too small to make a huge difference over 1440 and Windows does not scale well at all at that res), then you are going to need more than a GTX1080.

That case is a little too OG GAMER DORIT'S+DEW!!!! for me (ugly as sin), but I have worked with Cooler Master cases before, and they are good. Nice materials, spacious, and good cable management. For ref I ended up getting the "Phanteks EVOLV ATX" for my last build, and really like that case, the darkened glass means that black cables basically cannot be seen, but the RGB from the mobo and Asus Strix still are visible.

Reasonably sane power supply choice. I would only recommend you invest in a few more Watts (600-700W), as a PSU can last you multiple builds if you can get a nice one.

Don't get a USB wireless adapter when the PCIe ones are not much more expensive, I already use the PCE-AC56.

Again with the monitor, at 28" I don't know if the res is worth it. Higher refresh, g-sync, bigger/ultra-wide, or a second monitor are all better things to have that 4K.

That is the keyboard that I want, just can't justify the price, (but nice choice though).

Headphones don't seem like any real step up from the headset you already have.

This has always been bad, but recently my larger concern has always been who they are giving this access to. If you take a look below, you can see that they are not exactly being restrictive over who has access. At this point it may as well be public domain. The bill was passed under the premise that access would only be given if it was a national security concern (counter terrorism act all over again).

GrayFox1991 got a reaction from Vadise in Is it possible to use laptop for 15 years?
I don't know if this is an option for you, but you can make a full PC last a lot longer. Parts can easier be replaced over time if things in it die, where a lot of laptop parts are unique for that laptop. The build itself will likely be cheaper, and you will generally have more options. If you really need to keep a system running this long (although I would expect that you would be working full time/leaving home in 15 years) then a PC would be the way to do it.

According to the ASRock site, it only recommends ECC SO-DIMM memory. (http://www.asrockrack.com/general/productdetail.asp?Model=EPC612D4I#Memory)

That is not to say that it won't support non-ECC, but there are no guarantees.
