The point behind such things is mostly just that Linux isn’t windows. A BSD or other OS would work too maybe.  Just something primitive that ignores windows peculiarities.  I don’t know why it’s doing that.  If it’s a windows thing going non-windows takes windows out of the equation though.  Just as a diagnostic thing.  If you’ve got an older machine that won’t run win11 though (which seems so far to be most of them) something non-windows may be in your future though.

an i7-4770 can run DDR3 2400 and up, going to DDR4 2133 is a downgrade

definitely gonna need a cnc machine for those precise cutouts 

Just keep using the card for now. It's not going to lose the value of a new GPU worth of value in a few months time. People already know the next gen is coming, it's not like it's going to be a surprise.

I am going to TRY <<< HEAVY EMPHASIS to upgrade to a 30 Series as well and sell off my 5700xt (Which is actually a Surprisingly Punchy Card). But I do NOT Expect to get what I paid for it, whatever I say, I'll sell it for $150 to a kid who needs it, 2020's been hard and people deserve it.

I'm just gonna wait till I Have a new GPU in my hands before I do anything, as its speculated that it will be harder than hell to actually get one.

you can try going to slower and slower settings until you start seeing "CPU Overloaded!", then you should step back 1 or 2 settings
 
remember to set the bitrate right too, depending on which service you use

if you have nvidia GPU, use NVENC
else, use software x264
given you have a 4c/8t CPU, you could try using software x264 at veryfast/superfast preset, and try streaming at 720p 30fps, see if you get any stutters

 
but you have to be able to run your games/application well to begin with.

On a more serious note, Digital Foundry's video of the 3080 also covered non-DXR performance in a couple of titles. The improvement over a 2080 was not "8%".

Wait for ampere to actually come out and then check performance and how the 2600x holds up with a 3070, it will probably struggle a bit, but at higher resolutions like 1440/ 4k, it shouldn't be too bad, but what psu do you have?

seems alright. Your case has good ventilation so you should expect good airflow. If you want to see your max temps, you should stress test with something more intensive like aida64

I had a problem with this video, being the top 2080ti on the AMD system had no breathing room. When you guys test games that primarily utilize 1 gpu, of course the gpu that can breathe is going to win. In most games tested, its not surprising Intel won, but you created a new variable by cutting airflow on the test bench system

Temperatures + boost clocks were tested before hand to ensure they were fine on both systems.
 
The AMD test bench didn't have any issues (never went above 70c on the top GPU, and hit the exact same boost clocks) as it was on an open air bench, without the closed environment of a case.

GamersNexus recently did some real testing with real methodology (as GN does), and yeah, there actually is a performance difference between air and water

It's a $175 cooler according to Newegg. To my knowledge, there aren't very many AIOs that cost more than that -most good ones are in the $100-$150 range. So they spent more to go with that cooler over an AIO.
 
Now, if they had just went with a normal NH-D15 then sure it would cost less, but an extra $20-30 for a great AIO kind of pales in comparison to thirty two terabytes of storage.
