    Hi all, I've been having issues with Battleye and Rainbow Six Siege. When I press play through Steam a dialog box appears saying either starting Battleye Service or Failed to Start Battleye service error 1056. With the first one, it will just keep saying "Starting Battleye Service" nothing else happens, I have left it for over an hour with no avail. If i then close that dialog box and try to restart the game I get the second error "Failed to Start Battleye service" If I then go into services in task manager and try to force stop or start the service, it hangs on stopping. If i then try to change the Startup Type, (Automatic, Manual etc) the services process will stop responding, this in turn causes explorer to crash and I am then unable to sign out or shut down the computer through windows I need to hold the Power button. I have had some quite very serious things happen next, although have been able to recover. These include BIOS Reporting a failed Overclock (Its a modest one 4.5GHz on a 6700K) Failed to find a bootable device (Resetting the BIOS fixed that) Anyone have any insight or had a similar experience?

    Hey all, I'm gonna be building a new pc come the start of the financial year and want to run it past you guys to see if it can be improved. It will be used for gaming and streaming games to my Shield TV. I know its a bit overkill but I want to indulge, however if some dosh can be saved I'm all ears. I'm going for a White theme with the PC to contrast a black desk. The pricing is inclusive of a windows 10 licence and 2 new G-Sync monitors http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/P8YLCJ I'm planning to use a GTX 1070 or 1080, the 980Ti is there as a placeholder price, as its roughly how much i'll expect to pay here down under. Appreciate any input on this. Cheers.

    Hey all, Does anyone know of a comparable monitor to the ROG Swift. G-Sync isn't a requirement. I ask because I'm having difficulty finding a 144Hz IPS 1440p for an upgrade i'm looking at doing mid year. The reason i don't want to go with the swift is that it is way overpriced here in Aus and the design of the swift would look a bit out of place in my setup.. Appreciate any help with this. Cheers

    Why is it horrible? WD Reds are good for servers are they not? How much RAM would I need? I thought 4GB would be ample Im not sure, main reasoning was to keep the OS off of the storage drives, is that not worth it?

    Hey all, Been a while since I've posted something but I would like some advice with a home server that I'm planning to build. It will be mainly used as a Plex Media Server, but I want to use it as a central backup for my network. As it stands now there is only one HDD due to financial constraints, but will add more as time goes on I have a few questions; 1) What OS should I use? (Am currently leaning towards Ubuntu Server) 2) Is there anyway I can improve?

    I haven't had much of an issue with windows 10. It did upgrade while I was at work without my permission but i decided to give it a go. It isn't perfect but i've used it for a week and haven't had any major issues. I did gain 15GB on my boot drive, multiple desktops are fantastic, as is the xbox app. My advice is if you are going to upgrade make sure you create a backup and store it somewhere safe. Update your BIOS, and download your graphics drivers for windows 10 to install after you upgrade.     Just restarting this for another bit of clarification. Can anyone tell me what the SHIELD TV accepts? I know the US use 110/120V but does it still accept 220/240V for us Aussies?

    I think Elite has too many controls to be able to use an xbox controller, but have you tried binding weapons to LB and RB?

    Thanks all, I've done some digging and found that Australia Post has a service that allows you to buy stuff from the US as if you were there so i'll go with that i think.

    Hey all, I'm looking into buying an NVIDIA Shield TV for my living room, but unfortunately its unavailable in Australia. I was wondering if I have it shipped from the US if it would work without issue? Any help would be appreciated Cheers

    It is a fairly old house and has a wallplate RJ12 connector if i'm not mistaken. Cool thanks for clearing that up.

    Hi all, I'll be moving house in the next few days and want to have the router in a different part of the house to the phone jack. I don't really want a new phone jack installed as it is quite expensive. I have a couple of questions; Is there a way to use an RJ45 cable for the DSL connection or does it have to be RJ12. If not is there anywhere I can get a decent sized (50 metre) RJ12 cable. Or is there another option. (Don't want powerline either as it crosses circuits in the house) Cheers.

    If you are going to buy the parts, definately buy from PCCaseGear. They are the best PC component vendor in Aus. You may pay a slight price premium but from what I've heard of some of the other places, its a small price to pay.
