Just upgraded my pc to a NZXT 800 watt from an old thermaltake fire hazard. Also threw in a Gts 8600 because I ran out of room in my storage.

After having it nearly a month.  building the electronics in it.  tuning the radio to it.  a ton of teething problems regarding the motor mount moving (first big crash on it which broke the shell) Finally getting it running right and having a stupid crash (which broke the lower arm) waiting for some bits to come all the way from China.  I think it's finally ready for a thrashing...

New camera/mic setup.  Finally putting the Canon 100D to rest on my telescope try and get some real pictures of the moon.  It's been a good run on it with the cheap, aftermarket power adapter I bought for it.  However since the move it's just not been happy.  It'll just shut off/freeze.  Some nights it would be really hot in the battery compartment.  Some night's it just wouldn't turn on at all.  The Logitech StreamCam seems to be a really good alternative to at least those 20-30 buck webcams you see in Supermarkets and stuff and I got this one for 60 quid, never used, on eBay.

Also i don't think i put it in the latest purchases but I've replaced my Presonus USB96 with a Steinberg UR 22 which I got from Cashies.  It was missing a knob when I got it but a replacement was only a couple of quid.  Seams good so far but my HD599s sound a little warm on it still

I got this off eBay. Mostly as a joke.
Well they're here and making a stack on my desk. I got a bonus 8th one too!

However I can't currently power them all. I don't have enough power cables.
So I purchased these along with some 18awg wire (collectively the ATVs draw 0.4 amps from the wall).
Going to create the most cursed power cable of all time. Probably going to make a rackmount shelf for them all too (that's why I got the C14 connector, for my PDU)

Unlikely hero came to the rescue tonight. Bought RimWorld on Steam, quite excited to play it but my workstation said "no, you can't have fun!" and just wouldn't install the game. But someone would...

    Now I'm happily rimming.

Quite enjoyable. Runs excellently at 1920x1200 on the Quadro FX4800, sadly does not utilize SLI:(
As for sound, I've attached three tactile transducers to the back of the Apple monitor - one for left, one for right, and a considerably larger one for bass. The solid aluminum back panel of the screen sounds really nice when it vibrates, although the bass sounds... metallic at times. Had to tighten the stand because the bass actuator kept making the hinge slip and tilting the screen down at a certain frequency.
I tried the TouchSmart on the left first and the game was unplayable, I don't say that lightly. Seems to require DX10 and since the TouchSmart IQ770's GeForce 7600M had only DX9 support, all acceleration was handed over to the weak CPU. Of course it has no issues with a Core 2 Quad and fast GPU, though.

Little bit of a ghetto monitor repair
the switch for this monitor doesn’t lock toggle, ie you press it, it immediately disengages and the monitor turns off
so who needs a switch anyway?

    I don’t know what I’m doing btw
yes I know the danger voltages are in here, I was in fact born yesterday, when they started handing infants the pamphlets on the dangers of tube repairs

    here’s my shitter
at some point when I’m more motivated I’ll replace this with a different switch of some variety
I don’t know how this works, it has a blue and brown and two grounds, all I’m going to do is bridge blue to ground and brown to ground on their respective sides

done, glad I bought a $300 soldering iron I use twice a year to poorly do things like this
    it looks like shit but

    It works fine

I’ll probably get an outlet switch, that’ll probably be the laziest solution
or I could find a replacement for the switch to drop in, but era switches will have the same problem of ancient brittle plastic
or I can mount a different switch somewhere on the monitor, which is the easiest idea, if I knew what the wires were for, I don’t know why there’s two different connections or how they work, maybe they’re just two things that turn on and off at the same time? Maybe it switches between them? Who knows, I don’t want to wire a switch into this and just presume I want blue and brown touching
I am not electrically inclined, and I don’t have a print of this monitors circuitry to figure out what they’re all for

After years of circling it like a cat hot porridge: 3D-printer. A week ago to be exact but got it today.

    Sovol SV07 Plus.

I have to say, I am disappointed. I excepted to spent at least couple days troubleshooting and tweaking and it was just going through the manual and the bloody thing just works. Just a bit G-code tweaking so the homing doesn't go haywire after the print head stucks to the print.

Good thing everything else took a while.
Decided to not spend 80€ or something for ready made drybox because "saving" money and just DIY that thing:

Costed probably more than 80€ if you include getting Zigbee based smart home hub and climate sensor for it just to escape the horrors that would have become from me trying to make a hole to read some digital thermo-humidity-meter (just look at that beautiful smearing of silicon to make a casket for the lid). But it will hold a lot of filaments and good 12% humidity with only metering consuming power, 2x1kg of reusable silica gel bags should be enough for a long time and when they stop, just few times few minutes in microwave.
At least the concrete block was cheaper than I expected.

Now just need to figure out how I could connect to the fluidd/mainsail with phone remotely. Was kind of hoping NordVPN's Meshnet would do it but of course it doesn't support Android phones jumping to the local network through Windows.
