  1. So if i was to get this case or a smaller form factor case i would have to invest in a mini-atx or micro-itx motherboard thats x370 like the ROG Strix X370-I Gaming? https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-X370-I-GAMING/specifications/ I do not know about backwards compatibility with motherboards but all i see on ASUS' website about the motherboard its says 2 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR4 3600(O.C.)/3400(O.C.)/3333(O.C.)/3200(O.C.)/3000(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666/2400/2133 MHz ECC and non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory * for the ryzen processor and i dont know if that means only DDR4 at these speeds. Is there a micro-atx or mini-itx motherboard that i can use my ddr3, FX 8350, and the graphics card that pulls power from the motherboard on untill i can upgrade them. Plus if the new Ryzen will be released alongside a new chipset should i just wait for a new motherboard with the new chipset or just stick with getting a micro or mini x370 motherboard that can hopefully support ddr3 and an fx processor. https://www.forbes.com/sites/antonyleather/2018/01/07/amd-confirms-new-zen-ryzen-cpus-for-april-2018-x470-chipset-threadripper-and-apus-inbound-too/#76eb024d11ed I don't know if this is legit or not or what most of it means. thank you.
  2. I was hoping that something new would be coming out and that's good because as of right now i would just like suggestions on a good cheap case preferably white that has good airflow and suggestions on silent good fans and how to arrange them on the case to get the proper airflow. the budget for the case (for current motherboard and suggested upgrade) and fans right now is around 60-80. dont need the fans right right now i can try to addapt the fans i have until i can get better ones so manily the case. as of other suggestions, a motherboard that would be able to use the Ryzen 2 that is overclock capable and some good enough RAM i would guess DDR4, i would say an ssd with good speeds thats enough for windows 10 and 2 or 3 other games so prbably over a 120GB. if you can find good speed ones that are 500GB or above taht would be great. lastly is the psu i have good enough for all that or save up to get a gold rated one or something and should i invest in anything else? is there a way to reply to individual replies to the post? or will everyone who answers see theres a response? or can i link the person who replied in my replys? sorry im new to forums in general and this is my first post to this one. thank you
  3. Hello everyone this is my first post so hopefully its in the right place and has enough detail. What I am running right now is: -Windows 10 64bit -ASRock Fatal1ty 990fx Professional Motherboard -AMD FX 8350 (stock speed) idles at around 33C with room temp anywhere from 28-31C i believe -I believe its a Corsair Hydro Series™ H60 AIO liquid cooler -2x 4GB 240-pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600 (pc3 12800) -ASUS Radeon RX 560 4GB GDDR5 OC unplugged (uses motherboard power) -64GB +128GB older ssd (not in front on rig to get model numbers and speeds) +2tb regular sata drive -850W PSU (Kingwin LZ-850 80 Plus Bronze) -Rosewill THOR Gaming ATX Full Tower + fans it came with + 1 janky ran added for the radiator. -1 24 inch 144hz curved acer monitor running display port (4ms) -1 24 inch 60hz monitor havent used it with the new card yet but its there and i might one day) Firstly just a quick question. If I get better cooling should I even try to overclock my current cpu or just wait till i have enough for whatever suggestions I get? And with the GPU using motherboard power am i limited with what i have now or future motherboards with power draw and how much i can pull straight from the pci-e slot. Probably will upgrade card far in future if prices come down. The build will be used for mostly gaming at 1080 and just basic youtube, document stuff and ofc some good olde adult things. I will be able to buy the first upgrades in May but I would like to start with the case and cooling and maybe a motherboard that I can put newer hardware on when i eventually upgrade the cpu and ram from what i have. I would like to keep the GPU since that's the newest thing i bought for it an got it in January.... im broke and super out of tech these days and made poor decisions but that's what I have and why I am here. I would like to go with an AMD build that's light and with a white or light color scheme as it is super hot where i live usually daytime room temperature is 28-31C (hence the trying to get better cooling) and keep the graphics card that i have now and get some suggestions on what motherboard, cpu, cpu cooler, fans, ram, ssd (for os and a few games nothing super huge) and other upgrades that i could do in the future with the new setup. My budget at the moment is around $300 US including courier fees to bring it to the country i am in. If you have better suggestions on how i should upgrade with my limited budget that fluctuates from time to time and what to upgrade first with the case and fans and would just like to upgrade one at a time if i have too until I get a better full rig. sorry if i posted in the wrong place or missed a guideline somewhere and didn't add enough detail but ill be happy to fill in any question on things i missed if they are needed and hope someone can help me with my upgrading. Thank you BiohazardAcid.
