  1. Last year I had a challenge with a computer that worked near a quarry. The huge ammount of dust was a constant problem and the computer had to be cleaned all the time. I tried all sorts of dust filters but nothing would stop the dust from going in. Eventually i started improvising, but the things i got that could hold the dust off, would reduce the air flow and the place was very hot so that was not an option. Also the owner didn't want to buy a water cooler. I tried foam, a sponge, a sock, a piece of an old shirt and three metal filters put together, but it would either suffocate the computer or let dust though. There was no inbetween. After almost a dozen attempts, i got the perfect solution: a pantyhose. They let enough air through but won't allow even very small particles of dust. Unfortunatelly i didn't manage to take a picture, but a few months ago did a service in an office that had two computers standing righ by the door where heavy trucks would drive by and a lot of dust got in. So I cleaned both computers and installed the pantyhose filter in one of them. Then, when i came back there i took the pictures showing the difference between the one with the filter and the one with no filter. On the parts, there is no dust at all! It's like i left it three months ago. There is a little bit of dust at the bottom of the case, which i believe is entering through the opening on the left (i guessed the air pressure would prevent the air from going in, but on hindsight that was a supid guess).
  2. How curious. The website i'm buying from is showing me the same clock speed. Thank you very much. That makes sense now.
  3. Thank you! The models are "GV-N2060WF2-6GD" and "06G-P4-2063-KR" if that's the correct information. I don't intend to do any overclocking, however.
  4. Hi guys. I am browsing this RTX 2060 by gigabyte and after seeing the price i came across this another RTX 2060, from evga. They are the same card and have the same specification, however the evga version is smaller and doesn't require an 8 pin connector. I'm new to this but how is is possible that a graphics card is half the size, takes less power and still performs the same? Is there a difference here? Thank you and sorry for bad english.
  5. Hey guys, i opened this computer today and i've been thiking, won't these two fans suck a lot of air and reduce the air flow to the CPU?
  6. Thank you for all the answers. I'll buy LM after all, i'll also probably polish the surfaces, since i have the tools already. Thanks again!
  7. Thanks, that was a great read. I actually have very thin sandpaper and i'll try to wet sand it. Thanks! I'll probably do that.
  8. a delid is exatcly what i did, that's why i need a good thermal compound.
  9. I'm researching a new thermal compound to order, and i see the thermal conductivity goes from 1 W/m2 °C on the cheapest one to 9W/m2 °C on the most expensive, then i see this arctic silver 5 and its description says 350,000W/m2 °C What the hell does that mean? Is it 3,5 W/m2 °C?
  10. Thank you very much for the answers.
  11. Thank you! Does it give a better feeling to the click? Also does it mean it's a better quality switch or ir it unrelated?
  12. Can someone explain why these mouse switches have these metal things on top of them? In my country you never find those, but i went to ebay to buy in bulk and saw this for the first time. What is it?
