how to migrate os and other files to new ssd
zappedrepair replied to Joshcanread's topic in Storage Devices
its pretty easy, just get the evo they have good cloning software, (magician I think) clone you boot drive and then remove it while yo boot up again. bam it's done, then turn on there other software that makes that drive rock. i did this for my son. worked fine. same with me but i bought 2 500 gb and raid 0 them first. what crazy speed. best upgrade to your system is a nvme samsung drive. 960 evo prices not bad since they have that 970's are out now. just go to sumsung website and download drivers and both software. Done it 3-4 times pretty easy and fast if your drive is not to full, you can even exculde files so it can fit if the drive is smaller. and it will not match excatly, pagefile and another file will not copy over, but as soon as you boot from it windows will create it. HMU if you need more help -

Thanks, I have a EVGA 280 AIO and A 120 AIO for GPU, Currently looks good in Thermaltake H18 Great air flow,
-
Is there any cool Matx or small Atx tempered clear glass inverted case out there? Thanks, my desk setup forces the case window to be covered up. Like to see all that RGB glory! :-)

oh hers the link: https://www.3dmark.com/fs/15481663

i wanted the same, i purchased the Thermaltake Versa H18 Tempered Glass Black SPCC Micro ATX Gaming Computer. it is cheaply built, but I have a evga 280 in front with 3 120 fans pushing through it, with its 2 140 crazy fast fan pulling through the case into the 120 aio for the gpu in back, with another 120 pushing out the top. it will take a matx or itx mb. works for me for now
-
it was the armor. water cooled it with a 120 aio amd g12. perfect now. get 2088 mhz and never goes over 45c
-
Is this a good score 26061? for a crazy overvolted i7-8700k, asus z370 itx, with 280 air 5 fans,16 gb 300 ram, 1080ti Armor with a g12 and 120 aio push pull never got over 42c and a crappy seasonic m12 620w power supply.. soon to be evga g3 gold 850w
-
is this a very good score? my first build in 5-6 years, last one with 2600k... http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/8376027 thanks in advance
-
Armor, But put a Aio on it never gets over 60 now and getting 2075ish clock in benchmarking compared to less than 1800
-
Would it be any faster to put them in Raid 0? I know I could loose everything, just keeping os, steam, office and other games I have keys to. saving all important data to 2 500 gb 850 evos. fine separate, but would be nice if it was faster.. always looking for more speed. haha

My new Rig, but really bought the wrong gpu! MSI GAMING GeFroce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB! That temp was doing Kombustor GPU Stress gaming at 4k it stays 74-75 Going to have to void Warranty and water cool GPU. Have the stuff to put a 120mm Aio on it. What do you think? Already have a 120 Aio on CPU. Here is what I have: Operating System: Windows 10 Professional Edition build 16299 (64-bit) CPU Type: Intel Core i7-8700K @ 4.8GHz Motherboard: ROG STRIX Z370-I GAMING Memory: 16GB G Skill 3200 Videocard: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Hard Drive: ST33000651AS (3TB) Hard Drive: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB (500GB) Hard Drive: Samsung SSD 960 EVO 500GB (500GB) Hard Drive: Samsung SSD 960 EVO 500GB (500GB)

zappedrepair replied to zappedrepair's topic in Storage Devices
