  1. Hahah yes, exactly. Its a stupid question, anyway I managed to find out my graphics card is not damaged. So yes, the main display output from onboard is disabled if a graphics card is connected in PCIe, making the graphics card a primary display. Makes sense.
  2. Got a bit of a tricky problem here. I tried to boot up my desktop with my graphic card being powered through the 6 pin connector, although my screen is using a VGA port connected to the mainboard (since the graphics card does not have a VGA output). Result, im only getting power saving mode? I disconnect the 6 pin connection from my card and it boots up just fine to bios? Does the mainboard display output stop working when I have graphics card connected? which makes it being the main display? (Im just finding out if my card is damaged or not, my card does not have VGA output and only HDMI output. My screen only has VGA input, no HDMI input. I am getting a new screen with HDMI input in a few days.)
  3. Youre reading it correctly. I am going to try using both pair and see how it goes. So the ram slots has a bit of a color difference. Samsung on the 1st and 3rd HyperX on 2nd and 4th I think thats correct? Anyway thanks guys for the answers, if I run into issues I will just use the 16Gb then, although the HyperX looks cool but I dont use a visual case just a regular closed one. will update thread.
  4. Both pair of my sticks is running at 1600 (well according to their description), so it would be okay to use them all at once? And said in the video dual channel wont really matter unless I got a dedicated video card and not using integrated graphics?
  5. I have just inherited 2 desktop from a dear friend, selling one off. Each of them has a dedicated video card, First is GeForce GTS 450 1GB and second AMD HIS R7240 2GB I want to use the best and sell the other, which one should I use / is better? Using desktop for games and basic work (no heavy editing or rendering.) Thanks in advance.
  6. Hey Guys, new to the forum. Got a questions, I got a desktop build using Asus H97-PLUS motherboard and intel i5-4590. It supports 4 slots of DDR3 RAM. I have 2 pairs of ram available, first pair is HyperX Fury 4Gbx2 and another one is Samsung 8GB DDR3 PC3-12800 x2 First pair is 8Gb in Total, second is 16Gb in Total. As far as I know HyperX Fury is good! But I only got 8Gb of it! Samsung I got 16GB of it, but is it better? Or should I use all of them on my desktop??!! and have 24GB OF RAMM!!!??? I heard if I use them all it would be bad? it kills the dual channel feature thingy? and have less performance? although it would still work, maybe? I'm using my desktop mostly for gaming and basic work also photoshop (no rendering or heavy video editing) Help me out, im in a dilema.
