Telling PC which GPUs to use for Which monitors - IS IT POSSIBLE????
mogsten replied to mogsten's topic in Graphics Cards
I haven't checked the manual, I'll have to have a look at that. The monitors are being connected via Mini-DP to Quad DP Adapters, however, only 3 out of 4 Monitors are working, the 4th cuts off. Surely there is some sort of software that can change this? -
So I've got a Dual GPU Laptop running dual Desktop Class GTX 1080s I am trying to connect more than 4 monitors (6 monitors + 1 Laptop Display) however, I get to a point, as soon as I connect more than 4 it disconnects the 5th and comes up with an error saying "GPU only supports a maximum of 4 monitors" Is there a way I can tell the NVIDIA Drivers or an external program to use a different GPU. Currently all monitors are only being assigned to the 1st GPU which has hit the limitation. What i'm looking for is some sort of solution that I can tell the connections to use the second GPU to drive a couple of extra displays. I have tried with SLI enabled and disabled and set to Turn on All Monitors with no fix. Any help will be greatly appreciated TIA

Ran MEMTEST for 96 Hours, found no issues with the RAM. However, had to run it in Dual Channel configurations.

I have done the single Stick at a time test. All work fine when doing so. Only happens when installing anything higher than 5 sticks.

I have built a PC with a Threadripper 1950X and 128GB of Corsair Dominator Platinum 3000MHz DDR4 However, when installing all 8 sticks, the system will not post. Installing 4-6 Sticks of DDR4 will work, but will sometimes cause issues Is there potentially a compatibility issue with the RAM and CPU? TIA

USB3.1 Type-C on Corsair 1000D | NO MOTHERBOARD HEADER
mogsten replied to mogsten's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
This would be perfect, however, is there potentially a model with 2 of these ports? Google is showing me nothing -
So, I have got a Corsair 1000D for a customers system, however, they've gone with a SuperMicro motherboard that doesn't natively support USB3.1 Type-C with it's specific header. Is there some PCI Card that we could Install into the system so that the customer can use the USB Type-C Ports? Or are we doomed on this one?? TIA

Don't have any other board to test with unfortunately. The motherboard is the ASUS X399 Zenith Extreme Wondering if there is an issue with compatibility with that Mobo?

So, I have installed an LSI MegaRAID 9260-8i RAID Controller in a PC for a new build, and am experiencing extremely long boot times. Sometimes up to 15 minutes. I know this has to do with the RAID Card, If I remove it, Instant 3-4 second boot time. The RAID Controller is running 6x 10TB Seagate Barracuda PRO Drives Running in RAID 5. Does anybody know any way of decreasing the boot time, as it's getting really annoying, and I don't think our customer is going to be very happy with it. I have read somewhere about Flashing a non MPT BIOS onto the Card, but not sure if that is an option on this model. TIA

Hey Everyone. I have 2 x Intel Xeon Platinum 8180 CPU's coming in from Intel for a customer order, However, the waterblocks that I originally found (https://www.ebay.com/p/High-Flow-LGA-3647-Waterblock-Intel-Skylake-ep-ex-Purley-Socket-P-Xeon-PLTNM/9006705603) are no longer available. In a recent video "Scammed on ebay... Testing the 56 CORE system", I believe Linus mentioned that these CPU's have a Square ILM and not a Narrow ILM. With that in mind, I now have to find a waterblock that will work as the computer is for a customer and needs to go out in the next month. Would the EK-Annihilator EX/EP Work with this (it is a Narrow ILM, I know) but I have to make absolute sure as it might be the solution I need https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-annihilator-ex-ep Or does anyone have any recommendations as to which Waterblocks to use for this Socket? Thanks
