  1. you can take a coaxial cable, expose the core and then peel it off with a knife if you start seeing more copper, well, great, the isp used a really expensive unnecesary coaxial cable i havent seen yet, but is very likely that you will see a silver colored metal instead is the same both for antenna, for satellites and hfc no one steals it really, but copper for dsl, that is a whole different story
  2. well, the system shows 4 gbs, but only address 3 minus what gpu takes for the 945 form what i have found it seems that with a bios update it should support those cpus you mention like a 7200, but to be honest with how it is running, it is perfectly usable to read and compose documents, open basic pages and abit more it is probable that my fiend ends up buying a ryzen laptop in december, so it is not that terrible if it cant get another cpu really, i really wanted to play around with the cpu, but wait for 2 months for the cpu to arrive is discouraging the idea was to push abit this laptop because it has sentimental value and to be honest is admirable that this machine has given so much, i didnt even changed thermal paste on that thing, ever!
  3. a friend has this old lenovo 3000c200 is a ancient laptop that i had kept alive for many years this thing came with vista! with a wonderful celeron m430 i upgraded it years ago from 512 mbs of ram to 1.5 and later to 2gbs yesterday we decided to replace the original sata hard disk to something newer, a ssd! as a surprise to my friend i decided to also upgrade ram and cpu before attempting anything i checked that this old bios could recognize a ssd, so i plugged my kingston suv400, it was detected properly, so i went today to a store i like to buy parts, bought another kingston, a a400 then i went for the ram, i bought 2 wgb ram modules, i did a quick memtest and both modules were detected then went for the cpu, all i could find was a broken with bent pins core 2 duo t5200, i was looking for a t5500, after visiting many other stores with cpus all damaged because it is just old parts not many look for, they just toss them into a box and all you get is garbage i refused to buy then came back, installed the ssd but bios didnt saw it, nor windows installer i tried again with the old ssd but that one worked perfectly, well, i just migrated the information from the old to the new and used the old one on the build then i discovered something terrible, the old celeron is 32 bits only, i couldnt access the entire 4gbs, only 3, i do need that core 2 duo if i want the 4 gbs! perhaps i will have to buy it on amazon or something, but seller seems to be in china, so cpu migth take 2 months to arrive, and no idea if a broken with bent pins cpu will arrive or wrong part well, definitively a fun machine to play with, fun thing is that even being a single core celeron, for normal tasks it doesnt feel bad, a bit unexpected i think
  4. if you found water on that many places it will need to get dry first before attempting to do anything so disassemble the keyboard and back of the laptop and remove any part it allows you like ram, hard disk, optical drive, as much as you can and let it dry, special attention to connectors like the sata, m.2 and similar places if you see any burnt marks, any green dust or brown dust, white dust near components, well if it had the symptoms you describe, if it was my laptop, i would be getting ready to buy another, try to save information from it
  5. if the holes are under the arm mounting mechanism, those must be very small, you would have to buy it and thrn fight with it to see what fits there or if you can build a plate to connect to a normal vesa mount, but to me looks too small, normal vesa doesnt fit there in my opinion
  6. evga is on top, there are other brands of course
  7. this ethernet cable is connected into a modem, a router, a switch? you connect the ethernet into your ethernet adapter on your pc, does it have a yellow or green led showing any activity on that ethernet adapter?
  8. change wifi channel on router but remember that is not the same as wifi disconnecting than loosing internet access, you have to be sure what is the problem wifi could be ok but internet could be having issues, be sure to know what is failing first
  9. stop watching videos like esd and you in youtube! kill a pc or a ram module via esd would require a big enough discharge to make you scream and run away in pain remember not to touch the gold colored side of the ram modules so it doesnt get dirty never work in a pc without your shoes, specially over a carpet all should go well, remember to seat properly the ram modules so it clicks on place and enjoy your ram upgrade
  10. before trying the update, clone the hard disk on the server, so if the update doesnt work you have a plan b
  11. i came here to help people and learn a bit, yes but no, you are trying to marry a bear with a whate and have unicorn babies there the samsung uses a 2 or 4 cores arm cpu that is probably a soc, it comes soldered and has integrated a memory controller and a smartphone gpu, you cant do anything with any of that in terms of comunicate to a x86 cpu and make it somehow usable you wanted to learn, all the previous information is what this post offered to us sell the part and dont break it, someone else might need it for real, not to experiment and burn it answer is no, definitively no
  12. you are trying to convert a arm cpu with a custom firmware into a pc no, it is not going to work, nothing is compatible the way you imagine it is compatible there pc parts and tv parts have no relation whatsoever, nor voltages, no pci express bus, no same architecture keep your original plan, or find the lcd replacement part or sell the parts so someone else repairs his own tv
  13. so you have a tv that doesnt give image because the lcd is broken and you want to convert it into a pc by connecting a hard disk to it is this a troll?
  14. on the pc with the ssd connected with the usb adapter, press the win key and the r key on tue run command write diskmgmt.msc this will open the disk management tool, take a snapshot and post it here, to see if the 160 gbs ssd is shown there and if it has a valid partition i think that intel has a ssd health diagnose tool, download and run that too also yu can run crystaldiskinfo, see if it catches it and what has to say about it
  15. with the toothpick is even easier to bend those pins, better leave it like that
  16. well, you cant really use much there, it is a amd cpu and bend pins is not hard, so perhaps clean the outer part with toilet paper, not touching pins, but as mentioned before, thermal paste does not conduct electricity, so shouldnt give you problems next time open the thermal paste syringe after you installed cpu pn the montherboard cpu socket, not before
  17. is it a amd cpu? the picture would help, take a picture where we can see what it is and where it is located, to know better how to proceed
  18. it probably can be edited but with a hex editor or with a dedicated savegame editor, the file is not just text, cant be done directly
  19. perhaps take a picture and let us see what you see, to be completely sure
  20. perhaps is a mad cpu and is his first time installing a cpu? if you used the normal thermal paste is ok, if you used liquid metal, no you have to clean it
  21. a dat file can be a type of compressed file, can be a audio file, can be a video file you try to open it like it was a text file, but it is not the file is part of a game?
  22. windows these days will not fit into a 32 gbs ssd well enough you say 23 gbs, this to me means that your pc still has a recovery partition wasting around 5gbs of those 32gbs that in reality are like 29gbs, but to get rid of that partition safely you really need to format that ssd and start from clean, eliminating all partitions so you can have the entire ssd for you the pagefile can be moved to the hard disk https://www.google.com/amp/s/winaero.com/blog/how-to-move-page-file-in-windows-10-to-another-disk/amp/ you could try these steps and see if it helps gaining more space https://www.windowscentral.com/how-reduce-windows-10-footprint-your-pc?amp the real problem will happen when you need to update windows to 1903, the update will need like 30 gbs of space, that you dont have, there are workarounds, but the problem in reality is the limited size of the ssd
  23. the headphone jack on a pc is only for headphones, same for the microphone jack, you are using a connector for a smartphone that combines both, you need the adapter spartanman64 listed, it separates the headphones part from the microphone part and you have to connect each side of that adapter into the pc on the correct site to use that handsfree you have there
  24. is the ssd soldered? can it be replaced?
  25. if this is what you see use the dvd or video in inputs and select them as audio source on the kenwood in the remote control or in the source or input controls the cable you need to use is this one https://www.amazon.com/BlueRigger-3-5mm-Audio-Cable-Adapter/dp/B008UG7PDQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_14?keywords=3.5mm+to+rca&qid=1565008038&s=gateway&sprefix=3.5&sr=8-14 the white and red connectors go into the kenwood the 3.5 mm connector goes into your pc soundcard out put or speaker connector located on the back of the pc set audio level on pc to maximum, control audio volume directly on the kenwood this way you get only stereo, the kenwood connected this way only will get stereo
