  1. Hey, I'm looking into buying a new office chair (work/gaming) and I think I've narrowed it down to this model: The HON Ignition 2.0 (there are a few variations) https://www.hon.com/chairs/ignition/hiwmmkdy2ahifcu22alsbti https://www.hon.com/chairs/ignition/hiwmrakdy2ah0scu84alsbt https://www.hon.com/chairs/ignition/hiwmulkdy2ahcu10alsbt I currently have a 9 ish years old DX Racer chair and will it's still comfy (IMO), the leatherette is peeling hard. I know Herman Miller, Steelcase is the cool shit but it's way out of my budget, while this one fits nicely. It seems to have most of the higher higher-end options such as adjustable lumbar, fairly flexible armrests, and a decent cushion. I'd rather avoid the used market as all the chairs I found were shit or priced too high (for used). Which of the variations do you think is "the best"? Trying them out is not a possibility as they are sold in a different province... What is your opinion? Do you have a suggestion that's 500 or under CAD?
  2. I'm looking to buy a headset and I was not able to find if the Cloud Alpha S (which there is not much information on the web it seems) are actually based on the Takstar 80 or not. If not, are they worth it anyway? I already have HD598 for music but am looking for a closed-back all in one (ideally) headset for gaming. I haven't found many comparisons with the S version. Would you recommend them over the cloud 2 for a $30 (CAD) price difference?
  3. What about sound? I was plugged into my A/V receiver with hdmi.
  4. Last night there was a power outage while one of my computer was on. Ever since the power came back, I haven't had a display when using my HDMI output. I tried the following: 3 hdmi cables different ports on my tv (I also confirmed the tv ports worked using my tv cable box) Using a monitor instead of my tv Using DVI output instead. The DVI output so far is the only thing that's given me a display. Is it possible the hdmi output was fried? I'm using an I3-2130 processor with onboard graphics. I guess if that's the case then I'll have to buy a discrete gpu but what model would you recommend? I'm not looking for much power, I use this computer mainly as a HTPC. Thanks
  5. Nice video! Feels like you talked too fast though. Slow it down just a little bit.
  6. @nicklmg, what is the brand/model of the air compressor Linus used to clean the servers? I want to buy one but can't find anything that's isn't overpriced in Canada (like those 80$ DataVac...).
  7. Morning bump. I hope this is not against the rules.
  8. Hey guys, So I want to build a cheap system to use as an HTPC using MadVR and ReClock, a light gaming machine (LoL at most otherwise I'll stream with in-home) as well as a Steam In-Home (Streaming) computer. I came up with these two builds and I was wondering which one was the most suited for this kind of use or if you guys had some better suggestions to make. The prices or where I buy the parts from is irrelevant. I want to stay under 500 for sure though. There is no optical drive or anything else because I already have some parts at home. I will NOT overclock this as I want something kinda low power and that doesn't output much heat or noise. I can consider buying a cpu cooler later on but again, it won't be for OC. Let me know if I missed something. Thanks!
  9. I don't because I rarely chat/text and none of my friends use the service. That and my old android phone is total shit so the less I use it the better.
  10. 4 for myself and 100+ when I worked at a computer store.
  11. I think getting an even better Mic such as Blue Snowball would worsen the problem. I have one and holy crap, unless it's 1-2 inch from your mouth and you drop the volume (in sound control panel) they will hear absolutely everything. (That was my experience) The ModMic is a good idea as it can easily be place at the corner of your mouth which allows you to drop the volume on your mic and hopefully fixing your problem. Do you have a "reduce fan noise" in your sound card options? Maybe that can help. Otherwise, I guess you could buy super silent fans such as noctuas.
  12. I could not find the case on NCIX or Newegg. Is it out yet?
  13. Congratulations on the million subs! I remember watching your videos back in the NCIX days! Honestly, the more videos the better as long as the quality stays good. Quality over quantity
