  1. I mean, yeah it sorta does I'd get at least 16gb with that setup but that's just me.
  2. Keep in mind an eGPU enclosure will run you probably around $300 + the cost of the card, so in the case of an RTX 2060 you're looking at a total of $650 for the iGPU setup vs $1000 or so for a full second PC.
  3. How are your temps? Download a free trial of AIDA64 and run a CPU stress test to see what happens.
  4. Just get a kit that's at least DDR4-3000 speed if you want the best performance out of your system, as Ryzen loves fast memory. Corsair Vengeance LPX is always a good value pick but if you find something else similarly specced with good reviews for a lower price, go with that.
  5. I would go for the desktop personally, you don't need to spend $1500 on an 2060 system, grab a Ryzen 5 2600 and you can do the whole thing under $1k probably. EGPUs still aren't perfect and you won't be getting everything your GPU is capable of if you go that route.
  6. yes, as long as the speed and CAS are the same it should work fine.
  7. It could also be an issue with the drive that W10 is installed on, what does CrystalDiskInfo say @m33rak?
  8. That's bullshit, it doesn't cost $27 to ship something that small. Give someone at newegg a call and see if they'll give you the label or at least lower the price.
  9. Try calling Logitech's support maybe?
  10. Personally I like the NZXT coolers, great performance and IMO the best aesthetics of the bunch. Although if reliability is of utmost importance I'd still recommend a tower-style air cooler over any AIO.
  11. Sure, but if you're using any sort of relatively modern computer I doubt it'll be a problem for most people.
  12. According to Intel's site, you need a BIOS that specifically supports Optane, and it doesn't appear that your Asus laptop does. So yeah, unless you really want to use it as a tiny standalone drive, i'd recommend returning it.
  13. I would recommend getting the required adapters to be able to connect all three of your monitors to your dedicated card, going between dedicated and IGPU can cause issues sometimes.
  14. IMO Visual Studio Code is the best, hands down
  15. Yeah, it looks like your Windows install is fucked, you're probably gonna have to reinstall. Grab a USB drive (at least 8gb) and go to another working Windows computer. Download Microsoft's Media Creation tool and follow the steps to make a USB Flash Drive installer. (The default options should be fine) https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
  16. EVGAs support has been great in my experience, if you still have warranty left I'd RMA the shit out of that.
  17. Honestly, unless you find a good deal locally, used prices for those chips aren't low enough to be worth it IMO, especially factoring in the cost of a used z170/270 board.
  18. Do you need a PC right now? Because Ryzen 3000 series is around the corner and it's looking like it'll provide a massive perf bump over current gen stuff.
  19. If installing a later version of the driver caused the problem, it's safe to say that installing a later version of the driver caused the problem. What driver version were you running the last time they worked fine?
  20. Keep in mind Zen 2 chips will work fine in current boards, so he may not be too bad off buying a higher end board and APU now, reselling just the APU, and holding on to the board.
  21. If you want a tool to test CPU temps/throttling, I'd recommend grabbing a free trial of AIDA64 extreme and using its System Stability Test function (circled): https://www.aida64.com/downloads
  22. OP, what country are you in and what's your budget? The component choice here is less than optimal to say the least, but I'm sure several people here would be happy to put together something better for the same money.
  23. Yeah, I'm gonna second @Stormseeker9 here. You absolutely won't have a bad experience with current chips, and if you really need/want a PC right now, I would say go for it. But if you CAN wait, it will most certainly be worth it.
