My server is running dual E5649 6core xeons, 64gb of ram and windows server 2012 r2 on a 128gb ssd but i have around 2tb of other storage present in the server. I will how ever be running other game servers on this server at the same time. was gonna dedicate 20gb of ram to the mc server. Also i will be using forge 2768 for mc version 1.12.2

would you like me to set up a bat file for you?

Hmmm, i might try garbage collection as i have never used it in a normal windows jar file server XD

Yeah i have been contemplating getting a dedicated machine for the server just so i dont have to worry about these issues anymore. Was thinking of getting another DL380 G5 or a G6 with dual quad core xeons and 16gb/32gb of ram. The server is only dealing with under 20 people at the moment as its just serving my discord server atm.

whats your current system. I hcan help you set up a jar & start.bat file for a minecraft server. either spigot, bukkit, or normal mc. Havent touched sponge yet, though ill be switching over eventually.

I'm not sure what scaling premiere uses for video, if it's nearest neighbour, linear, etc.  I would guess linear.  Of course 1080p footage will not look as good as 4K footage when viewed on a screen that can actually show you the difference, but it may be worth being able to get more out of the rest of the footage.  You will have to decide that.  For example, if the low res footage makes up just a small part of the overall project, like the 6 o'clock news showing a grainy smartphone video shot vertically, then you would just insert that, understanding that it's a small piece and there's nothing you can do about it.  You wouldn't downscale the whole project to match that lowest denominator just so it's all equal.  However, if it's a considerable potion of the total, perhaps you want to accept that that's the best you can export and scale down the rest to match.

Ahh, gotcha. Most of my footage is 4k. I have a bit of cell phone footage in there so i may just scale everything down/up to 2k because its easier to edit + it will be mostly viewed at 1080p.

    Thanks man :)

So my friends got a 2007 24" iMac with a dead hard drive. After I open it up and put a new drive in there and swap over the thermal probe, how do I get some version of MacOS on it? Can I download an iso on a different mac, then put it on a flash drive just like a windows or linux iso? Did Apple make it harder than that just cause?

the easiest way to do this is to clone the old drive to a new one so you dont have to reinstall the os, which is a pain.

I had this happen tome once, cracked the socket

happened to me a couple times. am3 was not very good at clamping the pins. I believe am4 does it too? not really any fault of amd, just the way how physics works and the way the clamps designed ?

You could have used just about any other AMD socket for your example. AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, AM4 - all PGA :D

brought up TR4 because its the only lineup that have that uses lga instead of pga ?

By the way I built this baby 6 years ago. Is it normal for this age?

Not normal at all. The only way you really test if trying the cpu in a different system. Dont use that motherboard or psu, it may have issues. See if you can still RMA stuff. Are those custom cables, or cable that came with the PSU?

I suspect it may just be a random event because if something WAS built wrong, it wouldnt wait and show up after being used for 6 years.

I could be reading this wrong but you're aware that TR isn't PGA right? It's LGA.

Yeah u right, I think that was a error on their part

correct, bad wording on my part. Ill reword haha.

Think of a pga cpu (amd cpus where pins are on the cpu, not motherboard, minus threadripper) chip must have come out of the socket when he pulled the cooler off.

Oh that’s what he means by fan,

in in that case try twisting it slowly so the suction/connection between the cooler and the cpu looses (sometimes thermal paste does that)

Yeah, thats what im assuming since theres no way when decommissioning a system, youd find a cpu on a single fan lol ?

Do you have a photo? Also don’t forget to quote people so we can respond

The Prosser is stuck on the fan

just pull it off. Dont bend pins

Well, a 4K timeline would be ideal then since you've got 4K input and maintaining that is obviously gonna be better than not maintaining it.  But with that said, my choice in this situation would be to target 1080p.  It's going to be less data, less processing power, and especially if your targeted devices aren't going to be able to take advantage of more anyway, it wouldn't seem worth it.

Hey Ryan :) Havent seen you for a while haha

Would using the scale to frame function on a 1080p -> 4k clip create any pixelation? Or does premire work differently from the way im thinking? Im afraid that essentially blowing up a 1080p clip into 4k will introduce pixelation because the image is getting stretched 4x than it actually is. If that makes sense. Kind of rambling now lol.

  11. ~Hello mods! There seems to be no video/image editing software subs other than software, but it’s more about the software itself and less about specific questions, please move my thread if needed :) thanks!~

Hey guys! I’m currently editing a video for my senior year. I’ve got 4K@30 drone footage, 4K@30 footage from an a7riii, and 1080@120 from the a7riii. Currently starting to edit. The video will be played on phones, laptops, and a projector. Very few, if any monitors at all will be more than 1440p. Projector is 1080 Would it be better  to scale my 4K footage down to a 1080p timeline in premiere pro, or scale up 1080p  footage to a 4K timetime. Just trying to figure out what would create the best image quality, not worried about export times or anything all all since I’m using proxy footage for 4K.

    thank you!

You should first check the gpu and see if anything seems wrong then push it into the slot. Question: how is your gpu connected to your monitor??

    its a laptop ?

    So I have a laptop.

    RTX 2070 Max Q

When I fire up MSI Afterburner, every 2 or 3 seconds, it looses connection to the Gpu and then re-gains it displaying Lost connection to Gpu 1.

Is this a software issue or is a connection on my motherboard poorly made. Same thing happens in other Gpu software.

try updating drivers, etc. and try a diferent software such as evga precision.

bought a sf 750 psu, the atx and cpu cables are too short and I was wondering if there are extensions or if i need to buy new cables. Also corsair has this starter kit of individually wrapped cables. They're type 4, my PSU should be compatible with type 4 according to corsairs' website. Is there a way for me to make sure these are longer than the ones I got? It doesn't say mini itx on the product page, so I imagine they are longer https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L5YG1GN/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

It says the length in the description of the link you posted
