    Yes. It's a feature that comes in with the chip and game developers/publishers will always have their games support SMT/HT since why not, helps with load, heat, and overall performance.

    Why do you need blender running when youre also running a game. Unless you're making mods for bethesda games, using hammer for dota2 map creation. Plus check https://pcpartpicker.com/ if manirelli already made a build that will fit your needs.

    Then why do you need 240 fps? Only game can kick a constant 240fps is CSGO on 4:3 + a shit resolution. Save money and just get a 165hz one. And are you sure you want to revert back to 1080 from 1440?

    @MattKnutson84 Hell yeah take it back IF you paid for the insurance thingy which I believe is $50. I picked up one up a couple of weeks ago and I made sure that the monitor was manufactured recently -- mine was June 2018 while the others in stock are Nov 2017.

    @Vengeance1020 I know that. I said troubleshoot parts with an S. There's a lot of variable and factor that can lead to a PC not posting, it'll be best to try things out and see for a cheaper price instead of just buying new hardware and hoping it would work w/o knowing the root of the problem.

    I had this problem with svchost before, did you recently updated your BIOS? // EDIT + If not and it could possibly be a virus, try backing up important stuff such as images, game configs, project files, and do a complete OS reinstall.

    I lived in a rural area in Alaska for quite some time and they charge the public school with only two teachers and 20 students $6,000/mo for unlimited data, 5Mbps down, 500KB up. And keep in mind that the connection was satellite powered thus the high electricity cost, harsh weather = area is not easily accessible for an immediate maintenance and repair, tech ticket and housing costs a lot.

    Yeh, what @HZapperz said, might be a faulty cap or power supply. + Since your build is 4 years old, try visiting a local PC-focused store, they would let you (IF THEY'RE NICE ENOUGH) to swap & troubleshoot parts to narrow down the problem either for free or a few couple of bucks.

    The amount and kind of games you can play on safe temp with that laptop build/quality is really low. Any CPU/GPU intensive game you play will just turn your laptop into a mini heater. And no, those are not safe temps, for a laptop, you should be only playing at at least 60 C / 140 F. - Like that the boys are saying, try undervolting if bios permits it. - Close all unnecessary apps. - Power Options, Balance preset - Low setting gaming. - Or play easy to run games such as WoW, LoL, emulations, et cetera.     So my 1080Ti's hybrid rad failed and had it for an RMA. Gonna come back around the release date of the 2080s -- the card's gonna be fresh, never ran before besides the factory & luckily the local computer shop is willing to buy it for the full price I purchase it with which is basically $900. And I'm gonna end up paying only a couple hundred box for the RTX technology. But again, wait for the benchmarks, your youtube's gonna filled with it on release. + if you have GSync then it shouldn't really matter for 100hz ultra settings.

    Get an H440 instead of the S340. Easier to clean, more head room and better build quality. S340 is a dust whore

    NZXT X61 Cooler at top & stock tri-120mm fan in front. How about the Hybrid GPU's tubing position? Should the tubes run from the top of the rad or the bottom.

    Its the same thing as a laptop, just more powerful and no displays attached. You should be fine. You mentioned TSA, are you going from US to CA or US to MX?
