  1. just try it. if you dont like it you can turn it off
  2. Add in a 1TB Western Digital Blue HDD for storage that doesn't need to be fast. Other than that it looks good to me.
  3. I'd say give a Dell G-Series a shot. I got a G5 with an i7 8750H, 8 gigs of ram (all that my store had oof) and a 1050ti (same story with the ram). It also has a 128 gb NVME ssd and a 1tb hdd. My model does have a Thunderbolt port but I hear you have to add it on. 3 USB ports, HDMI, Ethernet, SD Card, Etc. Thing weighs probably 2-3 pounds. Nice screen too, great viewing angles. Paid about $1000 USD so about £800
  4. Dont- You'll want something thats newer for other sims. I use a PC almost every day that runs a 750ti and I will say its not terrible, but a 1030 would be a great improvement- plus you can get a Gigabyte OC model on amazon for around $80.
  5. Anything that is significantly under the msrp. Most posts on the subreddit will say if its a good deal or not.
  6. r/buildapcsales is a good subreddit with PC deals. Brand wise I like Corsair, EVGA, CoolerMaster, Gigabyte, etc.
  7. That's not real RTX. Those are SEUS PTGI Shaders. I've tried those- I don't like them. They don't offer what I like on my 1060. I'll take a look into getting a 2060 super but depending on the price I might just end up with a 2060.
  8. On a budget eh? What are you looking to do with it? I'd say since the CPU is still pretty good, i'd say try to find a cheap 1050 2gb or a GT 1030.
  9. Not really sure if this is where this thread goes but here it goes- I currently have these specs- CPU - Intel Core i5 9600k OC'd to 4.5 GHz Mobo - MSI Gaming Edge something or other Z390 GPU - GTX 1060 6gb EVGA SSC (Main part of this post) Is it worh upgrading to a RTX 2060? I hear that there are amazing performance boosts from 1060s but my main reason to upgrade is i'm on a budget and i want RayTracing (for minecraft, lol). I built this computer in december- yes, i know. I bought the parts in November- and if I waited 1 more month I could have gotten RTX.
  10. Yep. Forgot to mention- My 2200g is running 16gb of ram.
  11. Well are you talking hundreds? I have an i7 8750H and a 1050ti- The thing can't run 200 mods. Minecraft has more than enough ram- so don't expect to be running that many mods. I can tell you from experience- I have a 2200G and a RX560 and i've never been able to run more than around 150 mods on it. So don't get your hopes up if thats what your thinking. If you're only going to have 20-50 mods then you'll be fine.

  13. For one- don't go with a 1200. You don't need thermal paste either- assuming you won't overclock. Go with either a 2200G (Second gen) or 3200G (Third gen). You also want to get atleast 3000 speed ram- Ryzen likes high speed. Also, how many mods are you looking to run? EDIT: What is your budget?
  14. Honestly i'd pay a little more money and go for something like a Dell G3/G5/G7. Even though its last gen I have a G5 and wow its amazing for everything. Its got a 6c/12t i7 8700U and a 4 gig 1050ti. It runs everything pretty well and is amazing at editing video.
