  1. No microcenter, Florida man here lol... It was from a Crypto Mining build, he was running dual gfx for that, the gtx 1060 is from another pc.
  2. Thank you Gentlemen, that answers all my questions.
  3. A friend of mine gave me these parts without a case and stock cpu cooler. Intel Core i3-8100 Gigabyte Z370 AORUS GAMING WIFI (rev. 1.0) ATX LGA1151 1x ADATA XPG Spectrix D40 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 1x ADATA XPG Spectrix D40 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 1x PNY GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 3 GB Silverstone Strider Platinum 1200 W 80+ Platinum This is my current setup: Asus P8P67 Intel 2600k 16GB Ram GTX 980 850 Watts PSU 1TB SSD 144hz monitor Now, I only game on my pc. From my initial research, if I were to put it his parts together in a case, the gaming performance would be very similar in games just newer components. For a thousand dollars, I was thinking upgrading his CPU to a 8700k with a better video card ... Would getting another GTX 1060 in SLI would be a better choice? What would you guys suggest???
  4. When would be a good time to buy? AMD coming out w their new CPU/GPU line up.... 6 months, a year from now?
  5. Very well Gentlemen, it seems that we're all in agreement. I will wait. Thank you for the good advice!
  6. Hello. I'm debating to do anymore upgrades to this system without running into bottlenecks or if I should wait another year to get a fully updated gaming rig. I just want to play games in 1920x1080 for now ...What do you guys think? Current system: Asus P8P67 Mobo 2600k CPU 16GB Ram GTX 980 850 Watts PSU 1TB SSD 144hz Monitor
  7. Budget (including currency): $1500 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Tripple A Games and VR in the coming year Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I own a i7-2600k, 16gb ram, GTX 980 on an ol' Asus p8p67. Hey guys, I know for most of you that's almost unthinkable but I spent the past 14 months under a rock deployed with little to no internet and I'd like some info on the new stuff out there... I'd like some suggestions on what's a solid and reliable MB/CPU/RAM/GPU combo. In game value speed and fluidity over graphic quality and I'll be using a single 27' 144hz monitor. I've build multiple pcs before and I'm good with the rest of the parts and accessories...I heard AMD is back in the game and is giving Intel a run for their money? lol... Thx in advance.
