  1. To close this topic out, I went for Sennheiser HD 560s because they went on sale and fit my requirements well. Took a usb desk mic with it. Pretty happy with my choice so far.
  2. The Game One is overpriced (175€) and the PC37X not available at all where I live. Mostly looking for similar or better comfort (the earpads could be slightly bigger and softer, the weight is perfect) but especially build quality. Without dropping them once some pieces of plastic on the side broke off, making me unable to adjust the size. As I said before, I don't regret the purchase. But I also won't buy them again.
  3. I will consider them, thank you.
  4. Hey, I'm looking to buy new headphones and a mic (or a headset). I will use them mostly at my PC for work / games / music / movies, so I will easily wear them for more than 8 hours a day. That's why comfort and good microphone quality is my first priority. I am currently using AKG K-240 MKII. I was quite happy with them, they sound good and are very comfortable, although the build quality isn't that great. My microphone broke and the headphones start wearing down, so I thought I should replace both. My budget is around 200€, preferably less. What I'm looking for: Velour/cloth > synthetic leather Open > closed Overear (must) Detachable cable Microphone close to face > on the desk What I looked at so far: Beyerdynamic DT 990. I really dislike that the cable is not detachable. I won't be able to use anything like a V Moda boom pro with these which sucks. Are there other microphone solutions that don't require you to have something on your desk? Beyerdynamic MMX 300. They're a bit to pricey (235€) and the cable seems expensive to replace. Sennheiser HD 599/HD 579/HD 569/HD 559. I don't really understand the differences between these, other than the 569 being a closed back. HD 599 would probably be the ones I'd get, but what would I lose/gain with the other ones? Philips SHP9500. They're not available in my country, so I'd have to import them which makes them more expensive. What would you recommend out of these or do you have any other suggestions?
  5. I believe there isn't a setting for that, atleast I can't find it. Anyway I did read up on this and found out that if you connect 3-pin fans on the 4-pin slots you cannot control the fan speed in the bios on asrock mbs. I fixed that by getting a 3 way cable splitter.
  6. Thanks for helping everyone. I did choose the Define C TG. The replacement for the cpu fan fit (pure wings 2). Anyway I ran into an issue with fan controlling after finishing the build:
  7. Hey everyone, I recently switched cases. Everything went well, all the parts did fit in and I didn't manage to drop everything on the floor. Now I ran into a weird issue. Before switching, I was able to control all my fans (1 x 4-pin cpu, 3 x 3-pin case) in my bios. They were running at around 600-900 RPM. Now after switching cases no fan is reacting to changes in the bios, they keep running at ~1500 RPM. The only thing I changed about the setup is the case: Some sharkoon case to Fractal Define C, both without fan controlling And I changed my 4-pin CPU fan with one of the 3-pin case fans. I didn't change the slot on the MB, it's still on the same 4-pin slot as before. Reminder that all fans don't react, not just the one I changed. I tried updating the BIOS, doing different settings (custom, silent, perfomance etc) on every fan but that didn't help. I didn't switch around any fans or unplugged any yet. 8. Hello, this is my first time posting anything on these forums, I hope I'm asking my questions in the right place.^^ Recently my pc has been pretty loud. The noise is coming mainly from the cpu fan and even though I cleaned my entire pc, it stays pretty noisy. Now my questions are: 1) Can I just replace the 120mm fan with any other fan, for example a silent wing 3? The mounting of the fan looks like this: 2) What fan would be best? A static pressure fan or just an airflow one? 3) How good is the noise level of AiO coolers compared to air cooling? Is there any reason to switch to a cheaper AiO for me, even though air cooling was capable of keeping temperatures low? I'm also planning to replace my 5 year old case. I will probably pick up the fractal define c tg or the nxzt s340 elite. 4) Which case would be better? Again mostly about the noise level, but also about cable management? I heard that the define c is supposed to be better in both, but I like the looks of the s340 elite more ;-/ 5) I still have three pure wings 2 120mm left, which are pretty new (6months). Are 140mm ones better (quieter) for the front intake? My specs are: i5 4670k (OC) -> will upgrade the cpu to the end of the year ASROCK z87 pro4 8gb ram Sapphire 580 RX 8gb nitro+ HDD, SSD etc. Thanks for helping me.
