Essentially, this means that if you wobbled one particle in London, it's quantum entangled pair in New York would wobble exactly the opposite way, at exactly the same moment in time with no lag. Faster Than Light communication.

Entangling particles was never the problem, it was transmitting the data in a readable form. This is proof of concept that it's possible. It also proves that one set of entangled particles can cause other particles to become entangled.

The thing is that data isn't being exchanged. That's not what this experiment was about.

In a proper quantum connection, you are not exchanging data. You are changing the state of one particle. This changes the state of it's entangled partner. Instantly. With no data transferred and no energy required to transmit the data.

It's pretty similar to how if you change the energy level of 1 electron, as no two electrons can have the same energy state according to quantum physics, all electrons in the universe must change their energy levels instantaneously to allow the new energy levels to exist.

The day that I can visit a download page and not be bombarded with 100,000 adverts that all say download on them is the day I will uninstall adblock.

As long as adverts carry a risk of malware, you can bet it stays on (not for LTT and other trusted sites, of course)

The_Strict_Nein got a reaction from Dabombinable in Rockstar perma bans modders.
For a bit more context, the reason that they were supposedly banned (if you ignore the conspiracy against modders aspect) is because Rockstar ban anything that interferes with the Online aspect of GTA V.

The FiveM mod had a single hook into the Social Club service. The only purpose of that hook was the check if the person had a legit copy of GTA V.

The modders were banned because they were trying to stop people pirating the game with their mod. Without the check, people could in theory play the GTA FiveM mod without a legit copy of GTA V.

If this isn't some conspiracy against modders and Rockstar get a chance to review this banning, I suspect they may overturn it.
